Chapter 12- Silence before war

"I have something to tell you.... " I hummed in a response

"I'm a-" just when he was about to say something, we were interrupted by someone knocking the door seeing which made him sigh in frustration.

"I'll go check it" he grabbed my wrist and said

"You come behind me, I'll check. It's also late" I followed him to the door. I stood behind the him, while he opened the door revealing two policemen making my eyes go wide in shock. I looked at Taehyung and he had no expression like he was used to it

"Are you Mr. Kim Taehyung owner of... Kim Corporations?" One of them asked

"Yes, that's me"

"We have an information of you being a mafia from Italy. You have to come with us to the police station for verification" Did he just say mafia? It's fake right? He's not a mafia, is he? I looked at him finding him already looking at me. He gave me a 'don't freak out look' while I clutched onto his shirt. Soon, Jimin and Jungkook woke up from all the noise. Taehyung looked at Jimin and said,

"You know what to do right?" Jimin nodded

"Shall we go?" The office asked and Taehyung was about to leave when he turned towards me. He came closer to me and gave me a peck on my lips and left smiling like it was no big deal while me and Jungkook were shocked except Jimin who was smirking.  

"Come on, we have to go somewhere" Jimin said while picking up his bag and coat

"Where?" me and Jungkook asked in sync

"Don't you want to get Taehyung out? If you don't, you won't get anymore kisses"

"Yah!" I yelled while he just laughed

"Let's go"

[12pm, Location Police Station]

Is he really a mafia? It's not that I'm scared, it's just that... he's a bad person and he's on the opposite side of law yet he using to law to find the people behind his sister's death. Can't he just find them? He's a mafia after all. But what actually hurts is that he hid it from me. It was past midnight, and we were in the police station. Me and Jungkook sat opposite to Taehyung's cell, Jimin talking something with the office while Taehyung was looking at us from the cell. He was completely chill, like he knew that he will get out by today only. 

Jimin continued to talk to the officer while I kept thinking about what happened earlier. Does he really like me or it was just... lust? Argh! Y/n, focus! Now, it's important to get him out of here. We saw Jimin coming towards us while I and Jungkook looked at him confused

"Done, let's go"

"What about Taehyung?" I asked

"Look over there" he pointed towards the cell and we saw the officer opening the gate and Taehyung came out of it. He even shook hands with the officer. Damn! That's the power of being of a mafia!  He walked up to us giving us a smile

"Let's go" he said and we walked outside. Just when he was about to get on the car, I caught him by his wrist making him look at me.

"Don't you have something to tell me?" I asked 

"Yes, I do have. You both can go. Leave the car" Taehyung said

"And what about... you know what I mean right?" Jimin sked

"Yes, don't do anything yet. If we do something, it'll give a wrong impression on me and cause more trouble. Let's just maintain silence before war" Taehyung said and Jimin nodded. Both of them left leaving me and Taehyung behind. Turning towards him, I looked at him in his eyes

"So, you're a-"

"Let's talk in the car. It's late and probably not safe" Taehyung interrupted me and he was correct after all. I nodded and we went in the car. We sat in the backseat. He sat opposite to me. Silence took over until when I finally spoke,

"So, you're a mafia?"

"Yes, I am a mafia. My other name is V"

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"Because Jimin asked me to keep it a secret in order to find the people behind my sister's death and also... I didn't trust you back then" he replied

"Then, why are you telling it to me now? You could've just denied it"

"Because... whenever I look at you.... I just don't feel like lying to you, I thought you would be afraid or hate me after finding out that I'm a mafia. I wanted to tell you my true self but I was afraid... afraid that I will loose you. Will you hate me after-" before he could complete, I went closer to him and pressed my lips on to him softly. At first he was shocked, but soon responded to it by wrapping his hands around me waist bringing me closer to him. 

We pulled away, and starred at each other. Cupping his cheeks, I replied,

"I would never hate you. It's your choice to be a mafia. I won't ask why you took my help but I'm happy that you took my help. We'll fight together and win together okay?" I asked and he nodded. He leaned in and kissed me again. It was not lust but pure love. Never in my life, I imagined I would fall in love and kiss a mafia. 

"Let's go. They will be worried" Taehyung said and I nodded. While having a sweet conversation, we drove to the law firm but little did we know, someone was keeping an eye on us

[Time skip: 3pm, Unknown man]

 "Looks like our Mr. Mafia is in love with his lawyer?!" The unknown man asked

"Yes sir, and he got out of jail almost immediately. We are still trying to find out how he did it?" one of his old manager said

"He really is something isn't he?" the unknown man said smirking

"He's chosen the tough path, then let's play along, shall we...?"
