Chapter 8- I'm the Villain

[Next morning, Jeon Law Firm]

"Kang Dong-soo, the chief researcher of Han group was murdered last night. His security who were injured claimed that there were two people who knocked them down and killed Mr. Kang. Who are these two mysterious people?" The news claimed making me and Jungkook gasp

"What is going on with them, is it-" we were interrupted when Jimin and Taehyung entered the law firm all cheerful.

"Ms. Y/n, we have something for you" Jimin said and handed me a pen drive

"What is this?" I asked confusingly while holding the pen drive

"Kang Dong-soo's confession related to the illegal activities he did with Han group" Jimin spoke making mine and Jungkook's eyes go wide in shock. 

"How-w did you get-t it?"

"We asked our people to hack into his people to see if we could find anything related to this and we found this video, is it enough to file a case against them?" Jimin asked and I nodded

"That's amazing!" Jungkook exclaimed while I still had a confusion

"Taehyung can I talk to you for a second?" I asked to which he nodded. Grabbing his hand, I dragged him out to the open space. The atmosphere was calm, but something was definitely wrong. I have some doubts regarding. I'll ask him! It's now or never!

"So, what did you want to talk about?" he asked breaking the silence

"Are you really just a businessman?" I spoke and he looked at me with confused eyes

"Huh? uh-h yes, I am just a businessman-n, so?"

"You got the autopsy reports just after the morgue was set on fire, confidential information and now this video right after Kang Dong-soo's death. Are you sure you're just a businessman?"

"Yes-s, of course I am" he spoke blinking a few times

"You'll not lie to me at least will you?" he looked at me and immediately looked away. I felt like he was hiding something. 

"Why will I lie to you?" he spoke and faked a chuckle

 "Good, I'm trusting you" I said and went inside the law firm to join others

"If you find about my other side, will you hate me then?" Taehyung thought

[Time skip: Few minutes later]

"So, who's the next person after Kang Dong-soo?" I asked

"Jeong Jae-hyun, he was Kang Dong-soo's assistant also, Chairman Han Ji-hun's personal doctor. It's quiet surprising why Ji-hun choose a less qualified doctor as his personal doctor and there has to be some reason behind this and I'm sure he knows something about Han group" Jimin spoke as we nodded

"But how will we find it out? I mean you guys find impossible things out but I at least need to know how you guys do it, even if it's illegal" I asked

"Miss Y/n, don't you trust us?" Taehyung questioned

"I do, but-"

"That's what we need. We'll provide you with the evidence and you just find out who killed my sister okay?" Taehyung said and they started discussing again. Why do I feel like you're not just a businessman and you're hiding something from me... Taehyung? What is that thing which you're afraid of revealing it to me?

"I don't like it when I'm lying to you... Ms. Y/n. But what if you hate after knowing my other side? my other ruthless identity?" Taehyung thought while taking a glance at me

[Time skip: Han Group]

"What the hell do you mean by calm down!? Kang Dong-soo is dead! And whosoever is behind this is killing everyone who has even a little part in the release of WDN. And if that person can kill Doctor Kang, then we are also on the list!" Jae-hyun yelled

"You! You, shut your mouth or I'll do that for you and trust me it won't be a pleasant one! I'm trying my best to find out who's behind all this until then you, better keep quiet" Ji-hun warned

"I don't care what you do! If I find myself in trouble, I'll go to the police and confess everything! I don't care if you kill me, at least I don't want to die from that person's hands. I'm sure he's more brutal than you think" Jae-hyun spoke before leaving the room

"This can't keep happening! If people keep turning against me and start exposing us like this, he'll kill me for sure" Ji-hun thought and sat on the couch massaging his forehead

Leaving the chairman's office, Jae-hyun made his way to the cafeteria for some coffee. Suddenly his phone rang making him flinch as a result he spilled hot coffee on himself to which he hissed from pain yet answered the call

"Hello, Jeong Jae-hyun speaking"

"You're right. You are on my list" the man on the other side spoke sending shivers down his spine

"Who-o are you-u?" He spoke and stood up searching for the person by looking here and there

"Trying to search for me? Huh, come on. Why are you doing this after all you're getting killed eventually" 

"Why are you doing this?" Jae-hyun spoke as he gulped 

"It's quiet simple. You killed someone close to me. My sister! And I'm no ordinary businessman, I'm a mafia. You know why I reveal my real side to people? Because it's sign. That person will be my next prey and I'm a hungry lion! I'll give you the most painful death ever" the person on the other side spoke making Jae-hyun's eyes go wide with fear

"Who are you?"

"I'm the Villain and also Ace of Spades, your death card" Taehyung spoke who was sitting far but had a clear view of Jae-hyun in the cafeteria shivering with fear.

"I'll do whatever you want me to do! Just spare me..." Jae-hyun yelled before he could disconnect the call and that is exactly what Taehyung wanted to hear.

"That's a good choice you made. So, shall we start?"
