Chapter 5- Lure the Devil

[Next morning, Jeon Law Firm]

The sun rays fell on my face, opening my eyes I realized we all slept inside the law firm last night. Looking around, I found Jungkook sleeping on the table, Jimin on his chair in front of me. That's when I felt a heavy weight on my shoulder. Turning my head around, I almost froze. Taehyung was sleeping next to me, on his chair his arms were folded while his head rested on my shoulder. 

"Mr. Kim, you should get up now" I spoke while tapping his shoulders

"Huh? Oh, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable..." he spoke after waking up from his sleep

"It's okay, we were tired anyways" I assured him and stood up. There was a moment of silence between us which was broken when I spoke,

"I'll make some coffee with less sugar. You can wake up the rest" He nodded and I went inside

[Time skip: An hour later]

"Guys, come here" Jungkook announced and we all went towards him

"So, this chemical or we'll call it UKN because we don't know it name, it is very dangerous chemical. It's rather a kind of drug. As far as I know, there's isn't any such chemical in the market"

"Why?"

"Because it can kill you within minutes after taking it. It's acts as a painkiller but slowly contaminates the blood making it poisonous. The symptoms are heavy nose bleeding and feeling nauseous" Jungkook spoke making us confuse. 

"So, this drug isn't in the market, which means it's not international, someone within Korea is doing this." Taehyung spoke to which we nodded 

"How about we search and make a list of all the drugs in the market?"

"That's not possible, cause there aren't just one or two but many different kinds of drugs. Some are for medicinal purpose, some for illegal. It's not possible" Jungkook spoke and he had a point

"Wait, how about me just make a list of all the recently released drugs only in South Korea in that last 2 weeks?" I stated

"That would be easier since these murders started 2 weeks from now"

"But what if in the middle of this, they kill someone else too?" Jimin questioned

"No one dares to lure the devil. If they do, they'll make it easier for us" Taehyung replied smirking. Why does he always smirk? He sometimes is like a mafia rather than a businessman.

"Ah! I'm so frustrated!" I groaned. This was the most confusing thing I've ever worked on

"Then let's go for a drink shall we?" Jimin said and it indeed was a good idea. Jungkook refused since he had to go somewhere. So now it's me, Jimin and Mr. cold shoulder sorry, Mr. Kim Taehyung, famous businessman.  

[Time skip: WDN release conference]

The Chairman of Han group, Mr. Han Ji-hun entered the conference hall all dresses elegantly. Bowing to people and making his way through the crowd of people, he sat down in front of reporters and other peoples. 

"Everyone, Han group is glad to announce the release of their new painkiller, WDN. It has no side effects. It is fast and effective" He announced as people started cheering and questioning. 

Everything was interrupted when his manager whispered something to him which made his eyes wide but was soon replaced with anger. 

"Sir, one of nurses who was injected with WDN. She started feeling nauseous and ran away"

"What!?" he tried his best not to yell

"She claimed that she will not allow the release of WDN so we injected her with it, but she tricked our doctors and ran off"

"Then go find her if you want to be alive!" he threatened his manager. 

"Yes-s sir I will-l" with that he left while Han Ji-hun gave a fake smile and continued with the conference, fortunately, no one noticed. The media kept asking questions related to the medicine to which he kept answering as calmly as possible. 

"Sir, can you please stand in front of the logo of your company so that we can take a good picture?" One of the reporters asked to which he proudly nodded and stood up from his seat and walked towards his company's logo but little did he know something unexpected was waiting for him. 

Cheering and applause were heard from the conference hall when the Chairman of Han group, Han Ji-hun stood in front of his company's logo surrounded by his managers and employees. Just when he was about to full raise his hand to wave to everyone, he felts something cold and slippery on his hand. 

"Is that..... blood?" Just then something fell from the top and all the applause and cheering was replaced with screaming and people running here and there. His guards safely brought him out of all the chaos, but he was still looking back at who was that person. It was the same nurse who ran away after being injected with WDN. Someone had killed her and purposely threw her in front of everyone to create a chaos. But who is that person?

Just before steeping into his car, catching his manager, Mr. Suk by his tie, Han Ji-hun whispered,

"Who's dead body is that!?" anger was clear in his voice

"Sir-r, it's that-t nurse. She ran-n away but we don't-t know who killed-d her and why did-d that person throw her-r body-y here?" he replied while stuttering

"Yes of course, you can find out about that once you meet her"

"What?"

"Kill him!"

"What-t, sir-r, please...." the guards dragged him away from there. Massaging his temples, he thought, 

"He'll kill me if he finds out"
