Chapter 13- Dirty games

[Early morning, Jeon Law Firm]

Fixing his tie, Taehyung looked at the himself in the mirror. Sighing he went outside, to find me, Jimin and Jungkook taking some last minute preparation. Looking at Taehyung, I felt my heart skip a beat. No, I'm not having heart palpitations. I'm just saying because... he looked drop dead gorgeous. Gosh, why did he become a mafia? He would've ended all the models career. Taehyung was dressed in complete black, a black overcoat, black turtleneck shirt, black jeans. His curls reached up to his forehead just above his eyes, he looked hot... Anyways, Y/n, FOCUS!

"Before we go, Taehyung... you made a promise to me remember? I want you to say that promise loud enough for everyone to hear" I said drawing everyone's attention. Taehyung looked at me and just rolled his eyes, before speaking,

"I promise to that I'll try to control my anger and not yell nor threaten anyone in the court room most importantly, at the judge" he said and we nodded in agreement

"Shall we go?" Jungkook asked cheerfully

"Let's go!" we all said in sync

[Time skip: Court of Justice]

Reaching the court, we found many reporters and police surrounding a particular spot. At first we thought maybe it was the chairman and his lawyer. Later, we realized, that the chairman, his lawyer were standing in one side. Then who are they surrounding?

"The chairman and everyone are there, then whom are they surrounding?" I asked. Taehyung was on the drivers seat, Jimin beside him while me and Jungkook in the backseat

"Yes, why are they gathered like that? And why are the police here?" Jimin asked turning towards us. We gave a 'we don't know' look. 

"We'll find it once we get there. Let's go" Taehyung said and we started unbuckling our seatbelts. Steeping out of the car, we walked towards the crowd when a police officer came running towards us. Trying to catch his breathe, he spoke

"Are you lawyer Jeon Y/n?" He asked which surprised me a bit. I simply nodded to his question while the others starred at me in confusion

"1 week ago, you filed a missing report of your cousin... Lim Soo-Hyun?" he asked

"Yes-s, what about that-t?" my voice started to break

"Well, we found a dead body here and it kind of matches the victim's face, could you please come and verify it?" I felt like my world nearly stopped. Jungkook rubbed my shoulders while sobbing. Drops of tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Ms. Y/n, let's-s go" Taehyung said and we started walking towards the crowd. Taehyung supported me while Jimin took care of Jungkook. Making way through the crowd, we stopped before the spot were laid a dead body of girl. The police turned her face towards me, as I hid my face in Taehyung's arm. It was really brutal. I couldn't look at it.

"These are a few things we found" The officer said handing us the necklace with a familiar photo in it. It was her.

"Soo-Hyun...." 

[Time skip: Police Station]

Sitting next to Taehyung, as he comforted me while Jimin was helping Jungkook complete a few formalities. My head rested on Taehyung's shoulder, his thumb caressed the top of hand

"Those bastards! They can go to any limit to delay the hearing. They should quit playing these dirty games" Taehyung said

"The hearing is rescheduled two days from now" Jimin came up to us and said followed by Jungkook. Jungkook sat next to me before speaking,

"They'll hand over the body after the autopsy is done"

"Thank god, we don't have to steal anymore bodies" Taehyung mumbled inaudible for us to hear except for Jimin cause he already knew
