The victors kept to their promise.
Thor and the rest of them had been in the lounge car since they got onto the train. They had spent an hour watching the reaping for the other districts to see the competition and who won from 1 and 4.
Hestia was kind enough to get Jade her own holo to watch the reapings on. 1 had strong contenders like always and 4 had one strong tribute. The rest of the districts were lacking somewhat but there are a couple odd balls.
At dinner, Jade decided not to egg the victors on further, she wanted to eat in peace. She has the meal delivered to her room so the others could eat without her.
Two had always been the first to arrive in the Capitol, their train only took half a day.
Jade isolated herself until they arrived in the Capitol. Her act needed to come back for the people. Maybe her mentor wouldn't give her the sponsors but she could at least make them like her.
That was one of the things Jade knew for sure, it was one of the things ingrained into her at the academy. To win, people needed to like you. You needed something, a talent, a strong personality, anything people could latch onto.
When the train pulled into the tunnel Jade exited her room with perfectly styled hair and walked to the windows. Odius's eyes burned into her as Jade waved to the people.
They screamed for her, for all of district 2. The Capitol citizens cheer and laugh and as soon as they exit the train, were onto them.
The people touched Jade's shoulders, her hair, anywhere they can reach. Odius and the rest of the victors waved as well, signing things for the people.
Thor and Jade were led into another vehicle where they were accompanied by peacekeepers. They take them to the tribute centre, where the parade will be held.
When they arrived, Thor and Jade were taken up a couple of floors to the remake floor. Metal tables surrounded by blue curtains filled the entire room. A team of people stood in each cubicle, ready and waiting with supplies.
Jade was led to her team of stylists, Ajax, Lilith, and Ammon. "Welcome, welcome! We're so excited to meet you, Jade. Ah, I just love that name! Don't be shy, hop on the table!"
Uncomfortably, Jade got naked in front of them and put on the thin gown, hopping onto the table. Her body staid motionless as they hosed her down, thoroughly rinsing Jade's body and hair.
Then they moved onto the plucking and waxing. Ajax worked on her eyebrows, Lilith waxed her legs and armpits, and Ammon got the strips of wax ready.
Jade winced a few times at particularly sensitive spots but overall it didn't hurt. When they were finished waxing her, Jade's entire body throbbed.
They lead Jade down a flight of stairs and into a more secluded room. There was another table in the centre, that one with lights.
A desk and mirror sat in the corner, a closet on the opposite wall. Jade took the hint and climbed onto the table, placing her hands behind her head as she waited for the head stylist to come.
After not more than five minutes, a woman opened the door and entered the room. She was pale with dark brown hair that was tied up in a bun. She had simple gold eyeliner that complimented her skin and eyes, her face absent of any other makeup.
