The following days were quiet in the arena. Jade moved with her pack of docile dinosaurs and was hesitant to go hunting. She had everything she needed.
More alarms had gone off and Jade wasn't eager to get herself killed by interacting with more hostile creatures.
There had been a few canons that Jade took note of and two weeks in, she had only killed two more tributes, the girl from 10 who wandered into the herd and the boy from 12 who had tried to sneak up on her.
That left five tributes alive in the arena, Jade, both tributes from three and both from 11.
Jade had a feeling the game makers would be getting antsy, they didn't like when the games went past the two week mark, it made things boring.
This feeling was confirmed when the fence that had once been near the visitor centre appeared closer to Jade and the main gate was closed. The game makers were pushing her further into the dinosaurs territory.
She knew she was outnumbered. The other tributes were all most likely in their teams of two. Jade needed to start hunting again, even if it was dangerous for her.
Jade downsized her supplies. These games wouldn't last more than a few more days, so she left many of her things with the dinosaurs, only taking what she thought she would need.
Her throwing knives were kept accessible, the pink button up shirt was tied around her waist and her sword strapped to her back. Jade took her hair out of its ponytail once more and re-did it, getting ready for her journey.
She decided she would walk to the farthest mountain range and work her way backward looking for tributes. They had to be somewhere in the arena and Jade wanted it over already.
So Jade bid farewell to her friends and began walking through the field. She spun her knives in her hands as she walked, humming a small song.
Jade didn't realize how fucked she looked to the outside world.
She was walking in a field surrounded by dinosaurs, twirling the knives she had used to disembowel someone and was covered in blood, all while she hummed.
But Jade stayed on her path, undeterred by any foreseeable threat. She was ready to win the games.
It took her an entire day to walk the length of the arena. Stopping for breaks every once and awhile. She found some other docile dinosaurs, those were very large.
They were green and their necks reached great lengths. None of the creatures attacked Jade as she walked through them to the other side.
It was the middle of the second day when Jade reached the mountains. She sat on the side of one and drank from her bottle of water, resting for a moment.
That was when Jade heard a rock sliding down the mountain. She turned and looked up to where it came from.
There were two terrified tributes huddling on a ledge four feet above her. Their eyes widened when they realized Jade had seen them.
Jade realized it was the duo from three. They had been trying to hide from the lethal girl from two and failed.
In a panic, the boy from two pushed his district partner of of the ledge as a sacrifice. "Just kill her, okay? And leave me! Please!" He cried as his partner shrieked and tumbled to the grass.
