Chapter 1

"Wow today seems like a really good day to finally explore this new city im in."

I woke up at 11am because of the late night i had last night, I was up talking to my friends on FaceTime and we were playing a game of 30 secs. How did we play through FaceTime? well I don't know but we did it. I fell asleep at 3am and they left the call at 5pm our times were completely different because they were still back at home in South Africa and I just moved to LA for the month just to see if it's worth living here for the rest of my life just a little test drive.

I felt it would be cool to leave home and explore and also accept the job offer I was given here to work as an architect, I could have stayed home and worked as an international employee but I also really wanted change. LA was completely different compared to South Africa, this place had palm trees everywhere, a lot of skaters and bikers and everyone talked wayyyy different. My name is so simple but it always got butchered I was called "kehlani" "kemala" "kanye" but my name is simply Khanani.

I would usually be mad at the mispronounciations but I do have a thick South African accent and sometimes switch up between English and Tsonga/Zulu/Pedi actually any south african language. it sucks to correct myself everytime but its something I'll just have to get used too. Today was my third day in LA it's a Friday so im pretty much free and can't wait to start work next week Monday but let's just see what adventures I have for today.
