Chapter 24

It was Wednesday and it was 7am. I checked my phone for any notifications and nothing not even a good morning text. I went to sleep confused about what happened yesterday. He's never serious but the way he walked out made me nervous. He didn't call or text me when he got home. I wonder if I did something wrong, I decided to text Tyler.

I put my phone down and went to get ready for the day. I finished getting ready and left my apartment. I got in my car and drove to work in silence, I wanted to just be alone with my thoughts. I got to work and walked straight to the elevator in silence.

"Well morning to you too" Lily said from behind her desk

"Sorry morning"

"Bae come over here"

I walked up to her desk and leaned on it with my head hung low.

"What's wrong love? You were literally glowing and shit yesterday driving around in your mans car" Lily said while looking at me with sad eyes

"Its nothing I'm just thinking"

"About him? What did he do?"

"He didn't do anything it's more of what did I do?"

"Omg Khani you did not cheat on that sweet man with...Damson" she said whispering Damsons name

"NO! I love Tyler too much to hurt him and I'm not even interested in Damson"

"Oh okay well then what's wrong?"

"I feel like I did something wrong, yesterday we were talking about my big moving decision and he got all serious, kissed me then left."

"What? That's not like him! He's always so happy and never serious at all"

"That's what I was saying anyway the thing that's bothering me is that he's being distant I know it's still 8am and most people aren't awake at this time but he has a sleep schedule of a 4 year old"

"Did you try reaching out to him?"

"I just texted him morning when I woke up and..." I checked my phone

"Still nothing, it's still early though let me relax"

"Yeah I feel like you taking this way too deeply, he'll come around but also dont wait for him, if you get nervous go to him! Don't let go of him he seems so perfect for you babe"

"You're right, I can't let go of him"

"Let go of who?" Damson said while walking towards Lilys desk

"Its just girl talk Damsi" I said to him and pat his cheek

"Damsi? I like that Khani" Damson said to me while staring at me

"Omg Lily, Damsi and Khani we're all rhyming!" Lily said with excitement making us both giggle

"Okay I'm going to my office see you guys at lunch" I said to the two

"Might as well go up with you now" Damson said

"Lets go, see ya later Lils" I said to her while smiling

She blew us kisses as we were walking into the elevator. We were alone and I was busy staring at myself in the mirror.

"Don't stress so much. You'll get wrinkles and the wrinkles be much worse if the stress is about a boy" Damson said while looking foreword

"You dirty for that"

"Am I right though?"

"mmhm" I said quietly
