As Jae was trying to make his memories resurface, all of those memories came back to Bahati as well, making her suddenly grimace and groan in pain as she grabbed her head. It felt like her brain was splitting apart in half as images began flashing through her head.

Hyung got worried and held Bahati's back she cried out in pain.

"What's the matter?!" He asked, but Bahati couldn't answer, until all the memories of her and Jae resurfaced.

"What the hell?" She gasped for breath.

"What happened?" Hyung asked, rubbing her back, soothingly.

"All of a sudden these images of me and Jae started flashing through my head.

"What do you mean?"

"They seemed like past memories because at the end, I had to watch him die and that's where my memory stopped."

"What? You and Jae knew each other when he was alive?!"

"It was more than that, we were........a couple. We were even engaged before he died."

Hyung's heart dropped.

"Are you serious?" He asked.

"Yeah......."

There was silence in the room now. Both Bahati and Hyung had sat there on the couch, letting all this information marinate because it was unbelievable.

Why was her memories erased from the beginning and why are they just now coming back? It was so strange.

"This is weird." Hyung said.

"Tell me about it. I wonder if the same happened to Jae?" Bahati said.

"Perhaps?"

She had no way of contacting Jae. She doesn't even know where he was this late in the evening.

"What are you gonna do?" Hyung asked curiously. He had already known they were meant for one another. This just further cements it.

"Well when he gets here we are gonna have a lot to discuss because I got questions that need answers."

"What about your relationship?" Hyung asked, specifically this time.

Bahati paused.

Their relationship? What could they do? He was dead and she was alive. There isn't a relationship that could happen.

"You mean like continue our relationship? How? He's dead and a reaper." Bahati answered him. "There's no relationship that can continue. Our relationship ended abruptly and tragically. There's nothing left to continue. I just want answers."

Hyung looked at Bahati's eyes and saw sadness. He too knew how it felt to have the love of your life get taken from you early. It damages you. It hurts. It's like being gutted alive with a knife and it's hard to heal from.

Jae decided to poof back to Bahati's apartment after visiting his now dead parents. Their sudden deaths were shocking because they wasn't supposed to remember anything but you can't really forget a child. They both died from broken hearts and probably not aware of why their hearts were broken in the first place.

Jae came back seeing Bahati hunched over and Hyung trying to soothe her.

"What happened?" Jae asked, setting the book he stole from the library down on the table beside the couch.

"My memory came back." Bahati said, looking up at him.

"What memory?" He asked.

"The memories of us before I had to watch you die."
