Forgive what's said in fear
And all I ask of you is hear

FORGIVE

THIS MORNING, Anne felt confident. As if she forgot last nights events. She felt more energetic than usual, less sleepy and her eye bags were now her normal skin color.

She felt pleased with the way she looked. Europe was not in class this morning, which was not a surprise at all.

Her energy was replaced with nervousness, when she saw Jacob sitting right next to hers.

She continued her way into class. Both avoiding their looks. Tremblay could hear and feel the way she was feeling. He tried so hard to ignore it but it wouldn't go away.

He wrote his notes on his paper, and so did Anne. She clenched her jaw many times, it would be a miracle for her teeth to be unbroken and in place.

Jacob felt horribly guilty for scaring Loranne. He thought hard on how he could talk to her again.

Loranne also wanted to talk to Jacob, she wondered how she could talk to him again. Unaware of the boy next to her, reading her thoughts.

'I could just pass a note?', she thought.

'but what would I say? he wanted to bite me, how do I just forgive him? No way.'

he felt terrible that she felt this way. He ripped a paper off of his notepad. Taking out his green led pencil.

After he was done with writting the note, he folded it in fours and passed it to her. Anxious thoughts filled his mind.

'what would she say? what if she says no? What if she tells everyone about me?-'

Loranne answered quickly and gave it back to him.

He smiled to himself, accomplishing his wish.

LORANNE

As he passed the note to Anne, she worried it was a drawing with mean words.

She slowly opened the paper.

'Meet me outside, 2:35 bus stop after school'

He wanted to talk to her. Her heart skipped with glee, but it died down quickly as her mind altered with bad thoughts.

What if he tries to bite me?

She looked back down at the note, adding 'don't be late'

She folded the piece of parchment paper. Handing it over to Jacob before paying attention to the lesson.

BUS STOP 🚏

Loranne told Europe everything, which she instantly regretted. Not the animal part, just the part she would be meeting him.

And now currently, Europe would not stop squealing, giving Anne 'boy advice'

It seemed funny to Anne, how Europe knew everything.

"Well while you do that, I will go over to the store. Moms picking us up in 7"

Europe squealed one last time before heading over to the 7/11 near by.

Loranne checked her watch one last time, '2:33'

She felt the seat tug, looking over to see Jacob smiling at her.

At the moment, Loranne forgot about all the bad things that happened between each other and only focused on the positive.

It was quiet, besides the wind howling. Blowing her hair out of her face.

Jacob sighed before talking, "Look Anne, I'm so sorry for everything I've done. I hadn't intended on doing such. I feel terribly guilty you had to see all of that mess. But you have to understand that I was born this way. I have to eat to be able to survive. It's like water and food to me. I'm so sorry and I hope we can start over"

Loranne was star struck, he looked sorry.

"I forgive you"

It felt as if a ton of weight had been lifted off of Jacobs body. He felt like he could breathe again. Knowing the person he adored, forgave him.

The familiar blue car pulled up into view, honking many times to get her attention.

She smiled, looking back to her bag.

She slung over her pack, leaning over to Jacob, planting a small kiss on his cheek. They both turned a crimson color, as she walked to the van.

He waved and she smiled, both parting ways.

Jacob touched his cheek in awe, he felt on top of the world.

LORANNE

She felt on top of the world.

It felt weird to be friends and neighbors to a non human creature, who was human?

She hadn't figured out what he was yet, but it didn't matter. He promised not to hurt her.

Besides, everyone deserves a second chance.
