Past...
You woke to your stomach making some horrible sounds. It sort of hurt, and you feel really bad. Almost like you were going to throw up. You knew this couldn't be a good feeling. So you got out of bed, taking teddy with you to your parent's room.
Vera and Patrick were laid fast asleep in bed when Y/N entered quietly, trying not to disrupt her parents. Seeing they were wrapped in each other's arms, you lifted the cover in front of your Mom as you slid in the bed with them. Vera opened her eyes as you got in beside her.
"Baby what's wrong?"
"I couldn't sleep Mommy."
"Come on let's get you tucked back in your own bed. Mommy will read you another story." Vera moved Patrick's arm off her waist as she picked you up with the other. She placed you back in bed, tucking you in as she went over to the bookshelf. You felt really hot, and that sick feeling was hanging in your stomach.
"Mommy." You started to panic and sob slightly.
"Yes baby?"
"I feel really sicky."
"Oh Sweetie." She came back over to you and sat on the bed, rubbing her cold hand on her forehead. "You are quite warm. Do you feel like your going to be sick?"
"Yes Mommy." You began to cry.
"Oh baby, it's alright Mommy is here. Don't cry." You crawled back out of bed and onto your Mom's lap, leaning against her shoulder.
"Mommy I am scared."
"What of baby?"
"I don't like being sick. I don't want to feel like this anymore."
"Y/N your alright, Mommy will look after you, you don't have to be scared." Your stomach started to gurgle.
"Mommy, I am going to be sick." Vera picked you up as she took you quickly across to the bathroom. Your throat tensing up. She placed you on the floor as you released your stomach. Vera held back your hair as she rubbed your back.
"Good girl, that's it get it all up." When it stopped, you leant back as Vera got down onto her knees on the floor. "I'm really proud of you baby." She took some toilet roll and wiped your face just before you leaned into her stomach. You started to cry as you realised what had just happened. Vera put her fingers through your hair as she tried to calm you down. Patrick came to the door after hearing Vera running across the hallway to the bathroom. Patrick looked down at your pale face.
"Are you alright pumpkin?"
"She has just been sick that's all."
"Aww pumpkin. Do you want to sleep with Mommy?" You nodded as you wiped your eyes. "Honey do you want me to swap rooms?"
"No, there should be enough room for the three of us. Patrick can you just go get a bottle of water please."
"Of course honey." As Vera wrapped her arms around you gently, she slowly swayed you trying to make you feel a little sleepy.
"Mommy."
"Yes?"
"Is it over now?"
"Is what over sweetie?"
"Me being sick, I don't want to be sick anymore. I don't like it."
"I don't know baby, but I promise Mommy will look after you always. And right now all you need is a cuddle from me and you'll be feeling better in no time." Patrick re-entered the bathroom carrying a cold bottle of water. Vera smiled, mouthing, 'thank you.' "Here baby, sip on this, it will help settle your stomach." As you drank a bit of water, you began to feel better.
"Mommy I am really sleepy."
"Come on then let's get you all tucked in with me and Daddy." She picked you up and took the bottle out of your hand, placing it on the bedside table. She put you in the middle of the two of them as she crawled back into the bed.
"What if I need a drink?"
"Just ask me and I'll get it alright, just rest your little eyes. Shall I sing your goodnight song?"
"No thank you Mommy just cuddles." She gently wrapped her left arm around you as she pulled you into her chest, kissing you. "Goodnight my little princess, Mommy loves you." You smiled as you got as close to her as possible.
Patrick and Vera softly smiled at one another as Patrick turned off the lamp once more, and you all doze off to sleep.
