Brook's POV

"'The Great King' is a tale that was never read from a book. Instead it was spread by word and word alone. The way I heard this tale is from a survivor. A survivor of the tragic event called 'The Slayer King'." I spoke softly.

The Slayer Kings story starts with an island. There once was a species of people. They only lived on that island alone. It was said that they had a mysterious power no other species had. Because of this they stayed in hiding and only a few ever went out. Even though this was a separate species over all, the power they possessed could only be unlocked. So the ones who did unlock it would watch over their new kingdom.

The king of this island had one daughter and one son. Out of nowhere, the King and his daughter was found dead, along with all the power welders. This meant their kingdom could no longer defend well from enemies. Since the old king was dead, his son had to take his throne. After the passing of the king and his daughter, everyone mourned for them. Day and night they would give praise to them and everything they did for everyone.

One day, the kings son, which is now the king, shouted at his citizens. Claiming to stop mourning over his father and sister and to move on. The people thought he meant it as a way to encourage everyone. To move on and honor them in their hearts. Sadly this was not what he meant.

Soon after, this new king started to kill his citizens. He alone started to slaughter every last person on the island. This all happened during the night, so barley anyone knew. The ones who did know, were the survivors. The townsfolk who stayed awake and heard of this massacre was told to gather their belongings and loved ones to leave. In the end, there were only about fifteen survivors out of hundreds. No one knows what happened to the king and the survivors have either died out or become regular humans.

"So my crew was fortunate enough to meet a survivor and because of that, we wrote the story down and the rest is history." I ended the story and felt my skull get wet.

I got a hold of Chopper and brought him down. He was bawling his eyes out.

"S-so all those p-people?!" *sniff* "They all died?!" He cried.

"I'm afraid so Chopper, it's a sad story but I have no clue why the book here called it 'The Great King'." I set Chopper aside and looked back to the book.

"That king is a jerk!! Why would he do that to his own people?!" Chopper pouted.

I decided to keep the book on me.

"Are you not gonna read the book?" Chopper asked.

"Not yet, besides, it's probably doesn't have any info considering it's the story I just told you." I started walking to the exit.

After Carrot and Pedro met up with us we decided to return back to the cave.

"Did you two find anything?" Chopper looked up to Carrot and Pedro.

"The only thing we found was some tools. The rest was regular ship stuff. How about you two?" She asked.

Chopper spoke. "We found a book, but the story is pretty long so Brook can tell you later."

"Is it that book that was on the desk? I noticed it when we split up." Pedro turned to me.

"Yes, it is. You're extremely observant Pedro! I wish I were observant like you!!" I smiled.

There was silence for a moment.

"Get it? Because I don't have any eyes! Yohohohoho!!!!" I laughed.

Koala's POV

It's been almost two hours ever since the group split up. At this point, the castle was almost completely discovered. I was checking the books and information around. Nami was looking at the art and fashion used. Finally, Sabo and Luffy were just exploring the place. I couldn't blame them, especially since Luffy's a danger magnet and Sabo wants to protect him at all costs.

The books I found weren't filled with any information on the island, but rather filled with fairytales and stories. When I was reading some other books, I heard noise coming from the hallway outside.

"You don't stand a chance!!" Echoed in the hallway.

"I'm gonna be King of the Pirates! That means I gotta beat you!!" Was followed by it.

I instantly knew who the noise was coming from.

"Sabo."

"Luffy"

Nami and I spoke, knowing exactly who was about to run through.

Out of no where, Sabo burst through the door. A second after Luffy followed. Sabo slid on the ground while Luffy flew across the room. Sabo sat down out of exhaustion and the two stayed on the floor for a few seconds. Nami and I were stunned, at least I was.

"Oh come on!! I was so close!!" Luffy exclaimed.

"Hahah! You've gotten strong, Luffy! For being a crybaby that is." Sabo smirked.

"I'm not a crybaby anymore!! I'm a captain now and you know it!!" Luffy shouted, pointing at Sabo.

Sabo laughed. "Okay okay, yeah I guess I can give you that." He stood up, dusting off anything he got on his clothes.

Nami and I stayed quiet as the two brothers calmly got up like nothing happened.

"Oh hey you two." Luffy smiled.

"I don't even wanna ask." Nami groaned.

I placed the books I had back on the shelf and giggled.

"Actually, we came to bring some news." Sabo started walking towards us.

"Oh really?" I turned.

"Yeah! We found a secret room!" Luffy said excitedly.

"We wanted to warn you guys before we went in. It's near the throne room behind the stairs." Sabo spoke, expecting us to find the throne room ourselves.

"Got it." Nami gave them a thumbs up.

"See ya!!" Luffy waved as him and Sabo walked out.

Soon after fast thumps we're heard outside the door, telling us Luffy and Sabo were probably racing again.
