Chapter 18: Makino

Luffy Two's POV

[A few hours after Sabo and Ace's conversation]

It was starting to get dark, from what Makino and I knew, no one had found the disc yet.

"What if we don't find it, and it gets burned?!" I brought up, hands digging inside the trash.

"We will find it Luffy. If we don't, Sabo and Luffy can't go home! They can't return to their time!" She said sadly.

I kept searching, trying to hold back my tears.

"Cmon! No time for crying!" I yelled at myself as I smacked my face.

"I can't believe it, Gray Terminal is so massive. I thought we could find the disc easily yet the sun is setting and we haven't found it." Makino stated, placing her hands in her hips.

"Argh! This is so frustrating!" I yelled, punching my clenched fists into the air.

Makino sighed. "Maybe we should take a breather?" She sat down.

I ran to her and pointed upward. "The future king of the pirates never gives up on his mission! We're gonna find that thing if it's the last thing I do!" I shouted proudly.

"The last thing, eh?" A deep voice spoke.

Suddenly I was lifted up from the ground. "AHH!!" I screamed.

Makino reached her arms behind her. "Who-"

"The names BlueJam miss. Sorry to take your little friend here, but I've got a score to settle." BlueJam grinned, eyes locked onto Makino.

She stood up and went into a fighting stance. She had a determined expression on her face.

"You get your hands OFF of him!" She screamed, as her eyes widened.

"Move and I shoot." BlueJam said coldly.

She remained still and silent. Makino had never fought someone before, especially since she was just a bar maid. She had no experience with fighting, but somehow she had to get me back.

"Makino!" I shouted, scared for her safety.

"Don't worry, Luffy! I swear, I'll protect you with my life!" Makino shouted as she went in to punch BlueJam.

As he went to draw his gun, Makino punched him right in the face. His hold on me tightened, I've never seen Makino fight before. BlueJam got his gun out and quickly aimed at Makino. As she had her right fist forward, her left arm got shot straight though her shoulder.

As BlueJam backed up, Makino fell to her knees. She quickly grabbed her shoulder from the pain.

She shrieked in agony as blood started to gush down her arm. Her head bent down to the ground, tears filled her eyes. She continued blare, dripping saliva out of her mouth. Makino had never been in any danger, I couldn't even imagine how she must be feeling.

"MAKINO!! MAKINO PLEASE GET UP!" I cried out, trying to reach my head to her.

Her breath was heavy, and her body was shaking. She wobbled her leg up and followed with another leg. She kept her body still and went back into a fighting stance.

"You're never taking him away! YOU HEAR ME?!" Makino screamed with strain in her voice.

"NEVER!" She added, running once again to punch him.

"Stay down or die." He scoffed.

Makino shrieked once again, falling to the cold ground. She grabbed her shoulder and pulled her left leg in. She got shot directly under the knee. Everyone in Gray Terminal could hear her cries.

"MAKINO! PLEASE STOP THIS!!!" I shouted, my face a deep red.

"Y'know, how about we start the fire early, men?" He chuckled as more pirates emerged from the fog.

Suddenly an explosion went off, fire started to spread around us. The flames raged on, as the glow coming off of it grew.

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!" Familiar voices called out. Out of nowhere, both Sabo's, Luffy 2 and Ace jumped in to attack BlueJam.

The hand grabbing me was suddenly put over the flames close by.

"ATTACK AND HE DIES!" BlueJam stated, lowering his arm down.

"AHH!" I squirmed in his hand.

The group stopped in their tracks. They gave a cold glare to the captain.

"Makino?!" Ace turned his head.

Makino was in the floor, she was bleeding out quickly.

Ace knelt down to her and took his shirt off. He wrapped it around her shoulder wound and Sabo did the same for her leg.

"What a surprise, the noble and the dumb one look different from what I remember." BlueJam said.

"We don't have to tell you anything, we want Luffy back." Older Sabo stated.

"I always wondered who kicked my ass back at the ship. So which one was it, huh?" BlueJam asked.

Luffy 2 walked forward. "ME! MONKEY D LUFFY! IM GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES!" He placed his hands on his hips. "I ALREADY DEFEATED YOU ONCE, I CAN DO IT AGAIN!"

"After our beating, my crew looked into this whole ordeal you have. We don't need any explanation, cause what you want is this." BlueJam pulled out The Evocation Disc right out of his pocket.

Everyone stood in awe, all this time BlueJam had the disc.

"YOU BASTARD!" Luffy 2 screamed.

"Wait! Those pirates!" Sabo pointed to a few pirates from BlueJams crew. "They were the ones who took the disc!"

"That's right, kid! So here's my deal. Choose which one goes. If the brat here is chosen, the item gets destroyed. If you choose the item, the kid dies. If you attack or don't decide, they both get burned." BlueJam smiled.

"There's no way in hell BlueJam would give that thing up so easily." Ace stated.

"Dammit..." older Sabo muttered.

"GUYS!!" I cried.

Luffy 2 had a worried expression, along with everyone else.

Older Sabo whispered "Everyone, I might have a plan."
