Chapter 5: The Evocation Disc

Sabo's POV

I made it to the secret entrance before Luffy. Even though I was fast, Luffy had gotten a lot further than I expected. Compared to how he was as a kid, his progress is astonishing.

If only I could've been there for it. To watch him grow up like Ace did.

"You're so fast now, I gotta work harder." Luffy spoke with his hands behind his head.

He walked towards the entrance with a smile.

"Anyway let's go in!" Luffy started walking inside.

"Yeah." I followed.

There were stairs going downwards. They were made of stone, they looked dusty and broken. It seemed that they were entering a basement area. We turned to our right and it was completely dark. I lifted my left hand up and a sudden flame bursted from my finger tips. My palm was then filled with an orange flame as I started walking down into the black abyss along with Luffy.

As we walked down, I was able to catch a few spider webs at the corner of my eye.

"I wonder what this place was used for." I muttered to myself.

Eventually we found an open area, there were burnt out candles inside lanterns surrounding the area. I decided to try and find some wood around to light on fire. Luffy looked around as well, probably in search of something cool.

"Got it." I found an old table made out of wood. I took parts of it and placed them in the lanterns. The room finally started to brighten up.

The room was pretty large, inside it contained a bunch of tables. We continued to walk through until we reached something.

"What is that?" Luffy questioned.

It was the end of the room, in front of us was a type of chamber holding something inside.

"I don't know, I've never seen it before." I spoke, unsure of the object standing before us.

Brook's POV

As we relaxed in the cave, I looked through the book we found. I made sure to read instead of skim which is what I did back on the shipwreck.

"Wait a minute..." I stood up, staring at the book.

There was more to the story than what I heard. There's bits and details that I have never heard of.

" The King of this island was once a Prince..."

This Prince wanted nothing more but respect and power. Something his terrible father couldn't give him. He was the youngest son out of the three. He never knew his mother and his sister was the eldest, therefore taking the throne. What the citizens of this kingdom didn't know was that the son had always felt like his father loved his daughter more.

It was about two years since his sister became queen. Their father died a year earlier due to old age. One day, the son found out he had power. The same power used to defend this kingdom, the power to travel through memories. This power allows the user to travel through their memories. Once you travel to a memory, you travel back to that time and able to change anything you'd like. You could even meet your past self.
