3 Months had gone by so quickly and Lyndy was doing well as were Ty and Amy. They were now officially a couple.  Today Amy was going to ride Shadow so Marion was in the training Ring with Amy while Jack looked after Lyndy for a while.
Amy did Join up with him again and he came straight to her.
"Right Amy let's get him tacked up, then I'll go and sort the Jumps out".
"Okay Mum".

Amy walked Shadow to the Jumping Arena and Marion held him while Amy got on him for the first time, he was perfectly still, Amy rode him around the Jumps to show him where they were,  he did everything right so Amy started to take him over three small Jumps first.
Shadow glided over each one.
"Let's go to normal height Amy, See how he does".
"Okay Mum ".
Amy took him over the next set of Jumps and he took all three without any problems.
"Did you see that Mum, he Just took off as if he was stepping over them".
"Do you fancy taking him over the next three, their set at Competition Level which Sundance was to small for,  it's up to you but he can do them Amy".
"Okay let's go for it".
Amy was riding Shadow around  getting ready to take him over the Jumps as Val pulls up near the Arena watching.
"Don't let Val put you off Amy".
"She won't,  I want her to see how good Shadow is".
Amy brought Shadow round to the first Jump, she was a little nervous and didn't want it to transmit to Shadow so aborted the Jump and carried on down the side then brought him back up to her Mum.
Val was smiling thinking that Amy wasn't as good as everyone thought.
"What's up love".
"Just a bit nervous Mum,  I've never Jumped that high before and didn't want Shadow to pick up on it".
"Okay, that's good that you did that. When you Jumped the Normal height Shadow still had at least two foot of clearance so he can definitely clear those and he could clear the Olympic height as well, so as you approach the Jump close your eye's like you do when helping other horses and put your trust in him, Shadow knows what to do so let him show you".
"Thanks Mum,  well here we go".
Amy started again but this time at the normal height first and cleared all three so easily then swung Shadow round and took the first then second and third with such ease Amy couldn't believe it. Amy rode over to Marion who was clapping and Val stopped smiling knowing that Ashley had some serious competition on her hands.
Val carried on towards the Ranch House while Amy and Marion were celebrating.
"Okay Amy, take him round once more then you and Shadow have a rest, Lyndys probably due a bottle soon isn't she".
Amy looked at her watch and saw she had 30 minutes.
When she'd finished she was no longer nervous about the tall Jumps , so took Shadow in and made sure he had food and water. She'd be back out later to give him a good brush, but first she had a little girl who needed feeding.
