Lisa offered to pick Lyndy up so Marion could go with Amy to the Hospital.
"Grampa wouldn't say what happened  to Ty ".
"Well he probably wants to tell you in person love".
When they got there Amy ran inside, Jack held her and got her to sit down so he could explain what happened.
"Okay, Me, Ty and Caleb who was giving us a hand to bring the herd down......".
"Wait a minute Grampa,  only three of you, it takes more than that to bring a Large Herd down, even I know that".
"As I was saying everything was going well when something spooked the herd, during the commotion Ty's horse got battered and Ty fell off on top of one of the Longhorns , the horn went straight through him, were waiting now while he's in the OR".
"I can't believe you tried to move the herd with only three of you".
"I know Amy, I'm sorry.
Caleb walked in and went straight up to Jack and punched him to the ground, then stood infront of Amy and Marion,  "I'm sorry this happened Amy, I told Jack he was expecting the impossible with Just the three of us, we both refused to do it, he then told us if we didn't we were out of a Job."
"Well if he's going to take risks with my Husbands life then I'll get Ty his own Herd".
"Amy, you don't have enough land to get a Herd love".
"I know Mum, the Cattle Farm next to us is for sale so I may see what Ty says about buying it, the Ranch House is small with two bedrooms but would be ideal for a Ranch Hand to live in".
"When did you turn into a business  woman".
"Must get it off Lou I guess".
Just at that point the Doctor came out.

"Ty Borden ".
Amy put her hand up to get his attention and started to walk over to him.
"I'm Mrs Borden, this is my Mum Marion and my Grampa".
Jack was still rubbing his Jaw.
"Please follow me".
They all went into a side room.
"Right, My name is Dr Davidson and Mr Borden is a very Lucky young man, when the Horn went through him it missed his Kidneys and his spine, thankfully your Grandfather gave us Mr Bordens blood Type and we were able to set up a blood transfusion as he'd lost a lot of blood.
We've sealed all the blood vessels and stitched him up back and front.
I expect him to be with us for about 7 days then he'll have to take it easy for about a month.
Would you like to go see him".
"Yes please Doctor ".
"Okay follow me".

"Dad, do you remember last week I asked you if you had enough people to do the Cattle Drive, and you said you had it sorted".
"Yeah, and I did".
"So you thought you could do it with 3 people when you should have at least 12, you have a 1000 head of Cattle Dad how could you do it with 3, and now Ty is hurt because of you".
Caleb was furious with Jack because he thought there would be more riders to help like usual.
"Marion,  I told Jack we couldn't do it with Just us three".
"I don't understand it Caleb, no one expects to be paid by helping a fellow Rancher on a Cattle Drive. Everyone helps out other Ranchers for that".
"So Dad, why didn't you get more help".
"I didn't want to to bother them".
"Your a Stupid Stubbon old man. What if Ty had been killed Dad, how would you feel then about causing the death of your Granddaughter's Husband, I'm going to see how Amy's doing".
