Chapter 4

Three hours Later the house phone rings.
"Oh for the love of God again, excuse me Lisa".
"Hello Heartland Ranch ".
"Dad, I haven't heard from you, have you found her yet".
"Err, no not yet"
"Have you actually been looking dad".
"Well, I've got Lisa here at the moment so I'll look tomorrow, bye".
Marion was livid and packed everything up and set off home even though it was 9pm, she should be home early morning.

Lisa had gone home and Jack was in bed asleep, early morning he heard the Mudroom door slam shut.
He got out of bed and walked into the kitchen "Is that you Amy, what time do you call this".
"No it's me Dad".
"What are you doing back this time of the morning".
"Well let's see, my Daughter is missing  and you do not seem bothered in the least whether she's alive or dead, how's that for a start".
"I was going to look for her"
"Yeah, when, I'm going to check her room ".
Marion walked in and found Amy's phone, wallet, and diary. Even all her clothes were here.
"When did you see her last dad".
"Err, I think it was Tuesday, yeah Tuesday she was going to see Val".
"And you haven't seen her since".
"Well we weren't really talking so I assumed she was in her bedroom ".
"So she went to see Val and Jesse and as far as you know she never came back, so she's been missing a couple of days".
"Yeah, I suppose so".
" You sent her there knowing that Jesse threatened her life".
"He wouldn't hurt her Marion ".
"What if as I mentioned Amy wasn't a willing participant when he got her pregnant Dad, he'd be looking at 15yrs in prison, and how would he get rid of that threat".
"You think Jesse Raped her".
"Let's have a look at her dairy shall we".
Marion found the date of the Party and started reading.
Amy had written how she was looking forward to it, her New dress her mum had bought and her Pixie Boots.
Then Marion could see tear stains on the paper as she wrote what Jesse had done.
Jack was watching Marion when he saw tears streaming down her face, when she finished reading that day she pushed the book infront of Jack. "Read what she wrote about the party Dad".
Jack started to read and Marion watched his face as it turned red with anger at what Jesse did to his little girl even though she wasn't little anymore.
"Why didn't she Just tell us Marion,  I feel really guilty now for the things I said, it wasn't her fault she got pregnant,  I'm going to kill him".
"Let the police deal with him Dad, let him suffer for 15 years in prison ".
There was a knock at the door and Marion went to answer it.
"Hello Soraya come in".
"Hi Mrs Fleming,  I came to check on Amy, I haven't heard from her and she's not returning my text messages".
"Actually Soraya Amy's disappeared ".
"Oh, in that case I need to speak with you as per Amy's instructions ".
"Oh, then let's sit would you like a drink or anything ".
"No thanks ".
"Well Amy's been missing for a couple of day's I think as I was away and my Dad wasn't really taking any notice of her coming and going, so what is it you need to tell us".
"Amy told me to tell you what happened at the party".
"We already know that Jesse Raped her".
"Okay then, how about Ashley ".
" No we haven't heard about her part in this".
"Right, well Ashley's been telling her friends about Jesse getting fed up with Amy's excuses for not having sex with him so he grabbed her and put her over his shoulder and took her to his bedroom,  she says that she has it on Video and even put her phone through the gap in the door as it wasn't shut properly and you can hear Amy begging Jesse to stop, and her screaming and crying as he had sex with her. Apparently she's showed her mother, so if Ashley's telling the truth then the police need her phone for evidence".
"Why wouldn't she tell us, in fact why wouldn't Val tell us".
"Amy was really scared Mr Bartlett,  not about telling you both but of being in court with the Stantons Lawyer's and how they'd rip her apart and ruin her reputation, so she told me not to tell anyone unless she disappeared. Err, Amy doesn't know about Ashley's Video".
Marion then told Soraya about Amy's visit to talk to Jesse.
"Then I sent her back to talk to val and Jesse, and that's when she disappeared ".
"If Amy went to see Val two days ago then only Jesse and Ashley were home during the day as Val was away until late apparently".
"Soraya, if me and my Dad go to the Police would you come with us so you could tell them about Ashley and her Video ".
"Yes of course I will ".
"Okay, I Just want to Finish her Diary which won't take long".
Soraya went to see the horses and Jack went and made another coffee,  he had a feeling he was going to get a bollocking if Amy writes everything in her book.
Marion was reading the days and not much was in there until she got to the last entry,  the day before she must of left. Marion slamed the book down on the table and walked toward Jack.
"I know what your going to say, I'm
( SLAP) Owch, Sorry for what I said to Amy"
"How could you tell her the Baby , Her Baby wasn't your Great Grandchild,  you can be so infuriating, I'm praying she Left of her own free will".
I'll get what information we need together then we can go".
Marion grabbed Amy's Diary,  her phone and she was ready, they called Soraya and she followed in her own truck.
Outside the RCMP offices they all took a deep breath and walked in.
