~ CHAPTER THIRTY SIX ~

Good day Kidds! Welcome back to this random piece of crap that I forced into existence.

(:

To give perspective, as I might not post this on the same day I started writing it, it is currently 07/10/21, or July tenth, 2021 if you prefer.

Sorry for not posting all week, but I just haven't had inspiration for this. I also know it's not the longest amount of time I've gone without posting, but it's still been a week.

~PREVIOUSLY~

"Stop calling me a child. I lost that label when I had to start fending for myself."

"Can I ask, or is it too personal for now?"

"Well, I was the one who brought it up so might as well explain." I took a deep breath in, before steadying myself quickly so I could tell the story without breaking down. "When I was a mere six years old, my parents left. They got up and just left me on the side of the road with nothing but the clothes on my back. Then they were gone. I was alone. And all because of my quirk."

"Oh"

"Yea, oh"

"..."

"Sorry, just.... A sensitive topic, I guess."

The rest of the night was spent in that comforting silence, though I left soon after the clock struck twelve, as I knew that I needed to actually get up and do things tomorrow.

I had to get decent clothes, and I was going to look into a new Vigilante outfit.

I woke up the next morning, greeted by sunlight streaming through the window.

Okay.

I had things to do today.

I needed a plan.

I crouched down and pulled out a small box from under the bed. This small box contained the money I had earned and saved up from working at the restaurant for a few months, plus some extra that people gave me when they saw my disheveled appearance, because apparently I even LOOK homeless.
