CHAPTER FORTY FOUR

Hello, hello, my wonderful Kidds!

Welcome back to another product of gifted kid burnout syndrome!

Aside from that! I'm happy! Or as close to happy as my apathy let's me get-

You want to know why?

Because, as of the other day, I have a girlfriend.

ÙwÚ

I've known her for a little over a year and now we are together and yes. Also you guys have her to thank for me even proceeding to write this story past, like, the fourth chapter because she is the one who was bugging me about writing more.

*is happy*

Okay, so now i'm just going to get on with the chapter because you guys probably don't care about my personal life!

So basically Izu got a new hoodie for his 'job' and avoided Shigaraki and Kirogiri because he was still salty that Kirogiri was trying to mother him.

I sat in my room that night, not particularly wanting to leave in favor of staying away from Kirogiri. I know he meant well, but it's a little more than slightly unsettling when someone threatens you and you live with them.

Maybe I could go back to my old building?

They should be out of the area by now...

I mean I did leave in chapter thirteen-

Aside from that, I could probably just pack up my things and go back in a little bit, or maybe I could at least go check out the area and see if it was still being looked into.

Getting back into that building will feel more like home instead of me bouncing around between buildings like I have been in the past... how long? It's been about a year? I think...

Not the point!

Deciding to scope out the area and make a swift disappearance some time this week, I climbed down the stairs and peaked around the corner to see if there was anybody down there.

Usually you could find Kirogiri behind the bar, endlessly shining a glass (which obviously didn't need any more cleaning, so I think it is probably a coping thing for stress) and Shigaraki would probably be sitting on the couch playing a video game on the old consul that I had fixed up for him, or sipping some sort of (probably alcoholic) drink at the bar.

Though, despite that being the usual scene, neither one was even in the room at the moment, so I made my way to the window and climbed out as quietly as possible.

I didn't have my vigilante clothes on, as I was just scoping out the area.

That also meant that I couldn't safely jump across rooftops to arrive at my destination, as my face was uncovered and I might be arrested. Again.

Not the point.

So, to avoid that, I walked.

What could go wrong? Right?

Walking around at right around midnight, in the pitch darkness that settled in the sky as the moon reflected its light onto the city, being dimmed by the incessant glow of the street lights.
