This is my first story ever so I hope it doesn´t suck! It´s based on an imagine form imaginexhobbit (on tumblr): Imagine waking up from a coma only to find Fili and Kili’s (& Thorin´s) deaths were just a nightmare
(oh and just so you know English is not my mother language so please excuse mistakes)

You just stood shocked looking up to where Azog was holding Fili. You could hear him say: “This one dies now, then the brother and you, Oakenshield, die last.” With that he pierced his blade through the Durin prince. You let out a gasp as you see your beloved friend fall to the ground shortly in front of you. For a second you completely froze just staring at his lifeless body. You were lost in your own feelings until you heard Kili´s battle scream and snapped back into reality. “Kili.” You whispered and followed him quickly. Soon you lost him in the tons of orcs surrounding you. All you could do now was to keep fighting your way through the crowd until no orc was left alive. Suddenly a cry rang through the air. “No…”, you breathed and started running in the direction it came from. Finally you reached the remaining Durin brother only to see him being stabbed by Bolg. Now both of your closest friends were dead. Only one though shot through your mind now, you didn’t want to lose the last Durin too. In all the time of traveling with the company you’ve grown very fond of their leader. To be honest with yourself you were hopelessly in love with him which he of course didn’t know. Before you even noticed you had started to run not even knowing where you were going, you just wanted to know that at least he was alright. You found him on the ice fighting with Azog just before the pale orc fell into the water. “Thorin!”, you yelled running in his direction. He turned around slightly smiling at you. Just then a blade went through his foot. You watched in horror how he started to fight with Azog again, you wanted nothing more than to help him but no matter how hard you tried your body just wouldn’t move, helpless you had to watch the love of your life die. Now you were completely lost in darkness and pain….
Thorin´s POV
She´s been unconscious for day now and she obviously wasn’t gonna wake up soon. There was nothing I could do about that so I was just waiting next to her bed. Sometimes she would start to struggle like she was having a bad dream or like was in pain. On some days she was mumbling something that I couldn´t understand. Today I had to leave her side for the first time after the battle but I was a king now and I had to prepare the arrival of my people. So I sighed, kissed her forehead one last time and left her room.
Normal POV
You slowly opened your eyes my vision still blurry. It took you moment to realize where you were but that it all came back. The battle….their death….everything. Even through your whole body was aching you tried to get up but failed miserable. You ended up falling on the floor, rolling yourself together you just started to sob uncontrollably. You still couldn´t believe it everything that you ever loved just gone like that. Suddenly there were steps echoing through the room, sounding like someone was coming to your room. “(Y/N)!”, a familiar voice yelled. You looked up confused and shocked just to see Fili standing there, followed by Kili. They both had some scratches on their faces and some bandages wrapped around them. “Get uncle Thorin.”, the older Durin said to his brother. Kili left immediately and Fili got down on your level, help you to sit up and wrap his arms around you. “Shh (Y/N) it´s okay. You´re safe now.”, he whispered. “But..but…you´re dead…Am I dead too?”, you ask through your sobs. “What? (Y/N) you´re not dead and neither am I. What are you talking about?”, he ask confused just in that moment Kili and Thorin enter the room. He looked down at you and ordered the boys to leave. He sat you on the bed, holding you close to him as you continued crying. “Why are you crying (Y/N)?”, he ask holding you close. “I..I...I s-saw you die…”, you whispered after you had calmed down a little. “Just a bad dream love. You´ve been unconscious for quite a while got hit on head pretty bad.”, he replied. “I´m so glad that you're alright I couldn't bear living without you…” the words just floated out of you before you could stop them. Blushing like crazy you hid you face in his chest so you couldn´t see the small smile appear. “I´m glad to see you alright too…”, he mumbled and kisses the top of your head. You looked up careful just to find him starring down at you with such love in his eyes you´ve never seen before. Gently he stroke a piece of hair behind your ear. “You know, I´ve been wanting to tell you this for a while but I never had the courage to…but when I saw you lying there I realized that I can´t keep it up that way…I love you (Y/N)…”, he said. Your eyes widen you couldn’t believe what you just heard he really felt the same for you. It felt like a dream come true. “I..I love you too.” You whispered back and smiled shyly. A big smile appeared on his face before he leaned down to kiss you. You never been happier as in the moment that your lips touched. “Finally!”, you could hear someone yell. You immediately broke apart and noticed Fili and Kili standing in the doorway. “ We just wanted to get you Uncle. You know the preparing for our people are waiting.”, Fili said. Thorin got up. “Sorry my love I have to leave and you should get some more rest.”, with that he kissed your forehead a last time leaving you alone and happy to fall back to sleep.
