After a bit of silence, a new voice was added in. You didn't pay much attention to anything other than the first few words exchanged.

"Hey, Punz. I'm here to take your spot with guarding the prisoner." The new, and oddly masculine, voice said. Outside of your cell, you heard Punz stand and shuffle towards the newcomer.

"Oh, thank god, Dream!" He exhaled loudly in relief. "Please don't make me deal with this idiot anymore." You assumed he was talking about you, and there was no surprise. Of course he was talking about you. Though there were a few moments that seemed he tolerated you, you were his enemy, and he had to hate you.

"Anytime man. I heard from the other guard that this one was a lot of trouble, so I had to see it myself." Dream responded.

You simply stayed calm. Then you noticed that Punz was leaving out of sight. You knew that the shifts were around an hour, so you simply had to wait an hour with this one.

"Alright. Now what?" Dream asked, you simply didn't answer. "Punz! It's been five minutes and they haven't escaped yet! You sure they've tried to escape twice?"

"Yeah! Trust me. They'll wait for you to break eye contact, then they'll jump out like a child on Christmas morning!" Punz yelled from the hall. Dream just stared at you. You stared back. He had a mask, but you could hold eye contact for quite a while.

"They're staring at me! Why are they staring at me?" Dream yelled, not breaking eye contact.

"Just wait. They'll stare at you for hours!" Punz yelled. It was quiet this time. This might not be as long as you thought.

"How about you break eye contact, then we can get along?" Dream asked nicely and stepped towards the iron bars. You kept eye contact.

You kept staring at one another for what felt like weeks on end. He kept staring back through the mask. You could tell he was unsettled by the time period.

"Can you stop now? It's been nearly an hour." Dream said. It looked like he forgot the fact that he could break eye contact.

"No thanks." You respond with a smile, watching as Punz stepped back into the hall outside of your cell.

"Thanks man, I know they've been trouble, but I needed a break." He said as Dream sat up.

"Never. Again." The masked man said, walking back towards the stairs. Punz looked at you, annoyed again. Instead of saying anything, he just clicked his tongue and sat back down in front of the door.

You sighed and ignored him, deciding to talk to yourself about random topics instead. Occasionally, Punz would chip in, saying his opinion or something else on whatever the topic was.

You eventually found yourself thinking about the bread that you had back in the castle. You never knew what happened to it.

"Punz, you know that bread I had back in Ensidione that I tried to 'fight' you with? Whatever happened to it?" You ask, since the thought was on your mind.

"Oh, I ate it on my way here, why'd you ask?" He responded, seeming puzzled by the random question.

You instantly turn around, realizing that you had eaten some of it, which was pretty embarrassing, and brought a blood-rush to your face.

"You okay?" Punz asked. "You just thought you could use it to escape and now it was a flaw in your plan, wasn't it?"

"That's great. Just great." You said, still trying to calm yourself from his reaction. You started to think of a better way to escape.

You started to go back to random thoughts in your head not long after. Being too bored to think of an escape plan that would last. The Soul Sand Valleys are a death sentence. Ghasts are there 24/7 and you can do nothing. If you commune with blazes, you won't have to kill them for their rods.

On the topic of nether species, after spending time with the pigmen, you have learned that some of them keep blazes, magma cubes, and striders as pets. They were quite interesting beyond that, but no extra facts of them really popped into your mind at this moment.

"Heyo, Punzo, what do you know of the nether species?" You ask, bringing him back into the conversation. It was almost like you wanted to hear his voice rather than your own thoughts.

"Not much really, haven't had much use to go down there, since I'm an assassin. Why the question?" Punz asked, the puzzled edge still present in his voice.

"Would you ever want to go?"
