STOCKHOLM // Punz x Reader

Fifteen

It had been a few hours (at least) since you had been in the prison. Now you were curled up around the small blonde cat, giving it as much of your warmth as possible to make sure it didn't freeze. You had already grown attached to the small creature, so it wasn't exactly a surprise.

"JUST DO IT, MR. PUNZ!" You hear Fundy's voice screeching. You were certain that it wasn't just you hearing him, seeing as last you checked he had been all the way in the prison. You opened your eyes slowly, pointing them towards the balcony.

You quickly cringe, glaring at the light that shone into your eyes instantly, almost blinding you. You silently cursed the way your room faced the east, wishing instead that it had faced any other direction... or was inside of the mountain itself.

The cat stretched, feeling as you moved and awoke as well. "Good morning Mr. Kitty!" You whisper quietly, running your hand across his furry head. He purred, pushing his head against you before dragging himself all the way down your arm and plopping onto your leg.

You can't help but smile, shaking your head in disappointment at yourself. "You prove just how attached I get to things." You state, looking directly at the cat. His blue eyes met you before he let out a high meow. You quietly 'aw' at him before lifting him into your arms. "You suck."

Then you make the treacherous journey all the way down winding halls of the castle. Luckily, you had been living here for enough years that you didn't get lost. You and the cat reached the entrance of the prison in no time, a grin passing over your face before Fundy screamed again.

"I WILL PUNT HIM INTO THE SUN!" The sentence, you admit, was quite funny to hear from Fundy rather than Tubbo (who commonly says the same). However, it was also quite the annoyance seeing as the boy had woken you up. You felt an ounce of pity for all of the others who had also been woken up due to Fundy.

You heard a bit more talking, presumably from Punz or Wilbur. I guess Punz's cell was closer than you thought... Or they were just speaking extremely loudly. You round a corner, pass through a hallway, pull your cat closer to your body as he begins shaking, and then you were suddenly inside of the room containing Punz's cell.

"I WILLLLL!" Fundy screamed, most likely just him adding to the 'I will punt him' statement. You leaned against the arch way, staring blankly at the trio.

"Okay-" Wilbur gave a slightly concerned smile before backing away from his son. "Do what you wish, Fundy."

Fundy grinned like a maniac and turned towards Punz. "So-"

"Fundy, what are you doing?" You sigh, standing up straight. The child whips around and locks eyes with you, the look in his eyes being one of pure shock. He obviously hadn't expected you to show up suddenly.

"Uh... Uh..." He looked around as he spoke, seeming almost frantic. "Look! Cat!" He pointed at the cat in your arms, who had started purring again.

"Yes, Fundy, a cat." You rolled your eyes playfully, stepping closer so he could see the feline better. He stuck out his hand almost immediately and started petting the small thing.

"Does he have a name?" Fundy asks, not taking his eyes off of the small creature, who was rubbing against his hand.

"No, he doesn't. You could give him one, if you'd like." You can't help but smile at the joy in Fundy's eyes as he grabbed the cat from you, studying closely.

After a minute, he quietly says, "He looks quite like Mr. Punz... Maybe I could name him Bunz!" He smiles up at you, almost bringing tears to your eyes.

"Fundy, you're going to give me a heart attack..." You groan quietly, the small smile you originally had widening. "Okay, Bunz it is." You say, patting the now-named cat lovingly.

Wilbur suddenly yawned and placed a hand on Fundy's shoulder. "C'mon, bud. Let's get some sleep..." He glances up at you, a question in his eyes that said 'can we go?'. You nod, smiling at him.

"Go ahead, Wilbur. Punz is my responsibility anyways." He grabbed Bunz from Fundy, holding him lightly beneath his jacket to keep him warm.
