I spin to the other side of the bed and I jolt back to consciousness. I don't feel him, Christian is up. I squint at the sunlight shining through the velvet curtains and stretch until my back forms a perfect arch.

What a night, last night.

I cannot believe Christian managed to convince me to wear the silver balls.

But... I do have to admit it...

I did miss it.

My inner goddess, whom has inconveniently awaken from her comatose state for almost a decade nods frantically at me and sticks her tongue out to my subconscious.

So, the good old expensive charlatan is arriving to the states in two days, so Christian reluctantly informs me.

I have so many questions for him.

Fifty is hiding something from me yet again.

Duh! My subconscious clutches her dainty hands. I sigh.

This is the only thing keeping me from saying yes to Christian. I want to be with him again, I want to be a family, I want to love him for the rest of my life, but he just won't tell me what happened, or what I did to make him cheat.

Maybe I was right all along. His needs are stronger than his love for me.

Stop thinking about it, Steele. Maybe this is for the best. Maybe I just really shouldn't be enlightened by this.

It doesn't matter what happened. I just wish I could change it with all my life, but I can't. All I can really do is try to make up for it. Please, Anastasia.

Christian's words echo in my head. I've technically already said yes when we had sex in his dispatch a week ago. My mind drifts to that delicious night. I've been completely abstinent before that. It felt like the night I gave myself to him, body and soul. And it felt oh so good.

My sweet thoughts are interrupted by the engine of a car driving away. Christian must've left to the office.

I stretch once more and sit up. I didn't remove my bra last night. I was a little too busy for that. I chew on my lip as I recall last nights amazing events.

Twice in one night.

I have a ridiculous grin on my face and decide to snap out of it and call Missy.

I wonder if she's doing okay with all that work. She's a hopeless romantic, that girl, just like myself, which is why she agreed to cover for me without a second thought.

I unclip my bra and slingshot it across the room. I then proceed on the search for my phone. Christian begged me to let him buy me a new one. To no avail. I giggle at his beautiful sculptured pout.

I find it and speed dial Missy. "Missy Wahrner, Denver publishing."

- "Missy, it's Ana."

- "Ana! Oh, girl, you sound different! How's Seattle? Are you and your man together? Have you... made up?"

- "Hello to you too, Missy." I roll my eyes at her. "How's work?"

- "Not too bad. Josephine is also helping out. She's proofreading the articles for me." I smile. Josephine is incredibly sweet. "Tell her thank you. I owe you two."

- "Oh, honey! You don't owe us a thing! For years we've tried setting you up with other men and failed miserably. Along comes super hunk to save the day! Oh, girl!" She elongates the last word and I laugh. "We just want you to be happy." She says after a sigh. "You guys are the sweetest. How's everyone else?"
