What happened, bro? You went MIA for two days. Seen: 3:25

Sorry, Adam. I had completely forgotten to answer back. These past few weeks had been pretty busy! Seen 3:47

I hope you're talking about the video games. Seen 3:47

More or less. :D Seen 3:47

How are you liking them? Seen 3:48

They're good! I'm still playing Brotherhood. I love the plots! They're interesting! Seen 3:49

I haven't played today. I gotta go visit my dad at the state pent. Seen 3:51

Whoa, that's right. How long has your dad been in prison? Seen 3:51

Since before I was born. Seen 3:52

That must be real tough. Seen 3:52

"Whatcha doing?" Ava walks in and ruffles my hair. She takes a seat on the recliner next to me and takes my game control. "Just messaging a friend."
- "A guy? Is he cute?" She grins as she maneuvers Ezio Auditore to jump the ceilings of Florence. "Yeah, let me ask him how cute he is in a scale of one to ten." I roll my eyes and she laughs.

My cousin is asking if you're cute. Seen: 5:59

Heh, I'd like to think so. Is she cute? Seen 5:59

I turn to Ava and take a good look at her. Her whole body moves left and right as she runs from the templars and the way her tongue is sticking out makes it all that more hysterical. She really is beautiful, and I suddenly don't like the thought of Adam and Ava hitting it off.

Nope. She's fugly. Seen 6:00

"He's not interested." I say out loud and she scoffs. "His loss."

I've been chatting with Adam for almost two weeks. He's a real interesting guy. Definitely more to him than met the eye. He's an only child, delivers papers on Sundays, and recently has taken a job in a beauty parlour's warehouse. I've also learned that his mom is under witness protection, and she suffers from anxiety. Adam doesn't know the details of what she's a witness of, but he says he feels it has something to do with his father whom he goes visit frequently at Washington State Penitentiary.

I hear Mom call us for dinner and I have to physically pull Ava away from the game console. Jesus, she's been playing with it more than I have.

Dad and Taylor are discussing new security measures at home and work. They want to add motion detectors on the driveway and backyard, which I think is ridiculous. Mom is listening tentatively and in every suggestion, she shakes her head. Occasionally, she scoffs, making Dad glance up and glare. I detect some tension between her and Dad. It probably had to do with the fight this morning.

Dad has been getting anonymous phone calls.

I feel my phone buzz and I pull it out under the table. It's Adam. I quickly reply to him and leave my phone on my lap. I take a forkful of lettuce and stuff it in my mouth.

Buzz.

I put my hands under the table and reply. I hear a throat clear and turn to see Phoebe shaking her head. She's right. Mom goes ape shit if I use my phone on the dinner table.

Buzz.

Damn it! I glance at Mom, but she's too busy in the conversation. I look down and quickly reply. "Still talking to your friend?" Ava leans in to whisper. "Yeah." I say in a conspirational manner. "Do you know why they want to add barb wires to your house?" She asks and I shrug.
