"We'll meet again...We have to...Goodbye, Tiano."

"MINZO!"
Zuch jolted up from sleep, panting.

He wiped his sweat and noticed he also had wiped his tears.
He tried to fake a smile.

 He flexed in front of the mirror saying," I look handsome even when I die."



He went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Alex woke up shortly after and went straight to the kitchen.

"Food! I'm hungry too."
Alex joked.

"We have fried potatoes, fried eggs, sausages, vegetable side dish, and pancakes. There goes a cup of coffee along it."
Zuch said it like a mom.

"Thank you for the food. Let's dig in."
Alex grinned. 

Zuch suddenly remembered something.
"Oh, Today is a national holiday for the storm. Do you have any plans?"

Alex chuckled.
"Not really. I won't get a holiday even if it's a national holiday. I work on weekends too. And today I think I have more patients waiting for me."

A little curiously Zuch asks, "Patients? So you're a doctor? Which sector?"

"Emergency medicine and general surgeon of Ottawa Hospital General campus."

 Zuch exclaimed, "Cool! I am just a normal citizen, I guess."

Both chuckled and Alex asked," What do you do?"

Zuch replied, "I'm the Director of an IT company named TOCO."

Alex nodded, "Oh, TOCO? I've heard of it a lot."  

After breakfast, They cleared all the snow around his house and Zuch was driving Alex back home.
The snow-clearing process is going on the road.


He asked her calmly, " Ms. Merca, I'm curious about something. It bothered me the whole night but couldn't make it up to you. May I?"

Alex urged him, "Sure."

He continued, "How did the man look who you remember from yesterday?"

Zuch had a serious look with a slight frown on his face but was concentrating on driving.

She replied," He looked very much like you. I mean, his grey eyes were exactly like yours, but he had a beard and, he also was about your height. But it's weird...He told me that I don't YET know who I am. What does that even mean?"


Zuch didn't even look at her and with the same face, he took a U-turn to drive back to his house.


 Surprised, she protested, "Why are you turning? Mr. Zeinzi?I'm going to get off here. Stop the car. Please stop!"

Zuch pretended to be deaf.


She perplexed, "Mr. Zeinzi! Let me get off here. You are CERTAINLY making me uncomfortable, please! What's wrong? At least answer me! " 

Zuch calmly yet with a slight tone declared, "Please jump off if you can. Anyways, you wanted to die not long ago, Didn't you?"

His voice seemed cold.
And suddenly rude.

Yet, he didn't stop the car.

Alex teared up. "Why? Why are you doing this?! WHY?!"



Upon reaching home, he dragged Alex into his house forcefully and shut the door from inside.


He stood before it resisting an insisting Alex and warning her clearly that, if she keeps a step out, she will be dead.

"DEAD?!"

Now Zuch smiled exactly in the same manner the man of last night did when he told her that Alex doesn't yet know her true identity.

Zuch said, "I am someone living among you people but not among you,"

Alex was taken aback.
Her tear-stained eyes widened.
Confusion dawned on her face.


He continued. "There are plenty like me, walking in the same streets you walk. Behaving like you guys. HE is also one of us."

Alex stepped back in immense shock and fell on the floor.

Her voice shook " T-Then what are y-you?"

Zuch calmly replied,
"Vampires."
