Tiano woke up having nightmares. He had tears when he woke up. It was Tillo's last screams and the last breath followed by panting.  He didn't even realize it when he fell asleep after getting to know his life was a lie. And worse, the woman he had to sleep in the same room is not even a human.
Memories of Tillo's death flashed before him; the ones that traumatized him for life.

Minzo was not in the room. He sneaked into the kitchen cautiously.
He panted, "I--I n-need a knife to cut this part out! W-What if I turn into one like her too?!"
He gasped and searched for a knife frantically. Finally, he found a knife and just when he was running out of the kitchen, Minzo walked in slowly blocking his way. Minzo smirked at him and then had a half-hearted laugh.
He shivered, " L-leave me a-alone, PLEASE!"
Minzo couldn't help laughing, " That is a butter knife!" Minzo laughed again.
That is when Tiano noticed it. "Eh? What?"
He threw that at her but she dodged in shock and he squealed, " GET AWAY FROM ME YOU BLOOD SUCKING MONSTER!"
Minzo's eyes widened as it somehow hurt her. Tiano wanted to run away and Minzo slowly paced away from the kitchen door with her folded arms. She was staring hard at the floor in frown and disbelief because nobody has ever labeled her a monster despite knowing her truth. Although those 'they' weren't humans.

Her thoughts were scrambled like the one she was planning to make for breakfast.
Tiano was about to run away from the house gate when someone hit him right in the face and landed unconscious on the floor. His last view before passing out was Sapphire's angry face looking at him.

When he woke up, he saw Minzo sleeping beside him half seated on the other side of the bed.
He slowly rubbed his eyes and then fully woke up. He carefully slid from the bed and organized his memories before passing out.

They were: Sapphire hitting on the face with the strength a woman or a human can't have. Sapphire chastised, " YOUR MOTHER IS LIKE HER TOO!" He remembers a vampire killing his sister but...how to explain this?
He was amazed and at the same time, shocked.
He looked back at sleeping Minzo. He felt regret in his guts and it redoubled when he looked in the mirror and found a band-aid on his left cheek. He carefully touched it and felt that his cheekbone could've been fractured if his mom had used her full strength because she'd slapped him lightly.
Minzo woke up and let out a small moan then rubbed her eyes. She saw him and their eyes locked at each other.
Tiano's eyes were apologetic and her eyes were forgiving. It would've been blank with the same emotions if they were Alex and Zuch.
Minzo suddenly let out a short nod and forced a smile saying, " Woah! Auntie has got some fists!"
Tiano laughed, " Yeah!" Then his laugh disappeared and his eyes became apologetic again.
Minzo slowly walked toward him and stopped walking closer when the distance was half a foot. She let out a deep breath as if she has accepted his apology.
Her arms were folded and then Tiano held her hands and said, " I'm sorry Minzo. I-I was just too scared. I didn't know my mom was one too."
Minzo was nodding the whole time and nodded after hearing it. She said, " Why aren't you shocked much?"
Tiano gasped at first and then decided to be honest.
" My sister was killed by a vampire before my eyes. So I hated them. But now... I think just as we humans, they are also good and bad."
Minzo laughed leaving him clueless.
" Here's the fun part: How do you know you're not one of us? I mean, they had adopted you, right? And were your eyes always this light brown?"
Tiano was clueless but scared.
He was worried," What do you mean?"
Minzo smirked, " You remember them injecting a red liquid into your body cuz you were twelve? It's their DNA. You'll be one of us soon!"

Well, he actually remembers them injecting that liquid into him when he was twelve, and also, he remembers his eyes being black to dark brown in his childhood photos.
So does that really mean...
