Heat and Spark

Tiano was devastated when he knew about his truth. Tiano sat on his bed for long enough. When Minzo called him for the lunch, he refused to have it. 
Minzo warned that she would use her strength if he refuses again. It was a lie for her case though.  She was just a commoner vampire who was backed by two royals. Yes, two.
One was Sapphire who lived with her and the other one was someone who wears a long black snow coat, grey eyes, and...a beard.

Minzo never mentioned Tiano about him. Because mentioning him to Tiano may bring back some of his erased memories. Her caretakers won't like that.

But she told him another truth instead. She told him her story. It was:

She is the only child of a very rich family. They were always busy with their work or with their fights. The father sometimes used to hit the mother when drunk. Then, her mother used to hit Minzo to release her anger. She only stayed for Minzo. Minzo always wanted to break free from this family. 
When she turned 8, she could. But that was unintentional.
One day, she was sitting at her window when her parents were fighting. She was brushing her hair. It was almost 2 am. She was mindlessly swinging her toes when she noticed a passerby man was staring hard at her.  His stare was unusual and his eyes were creepy. She saw him toward her. She was scared at first and then everything went blank. She found herself on her bed. 
Her parents told her how girls are raped, but Minzo's clothes were still on She just felt a deep pain in her wrist, and to her horror, she saw two bite marks where the blood is dried up. From then, she got sick and notice severe changes in her body. Her whole body felt like it was burning from the inside. She screamed but there was none to hear those. She somehow made it out of her house gate but collapsed when someone saw her. She was rushed to the hospital but her parents couldn't come to visit her because they can't make it to the hospital within 3 hours. And, they didn't even want to. The nurse whispered in her ear, "You are not a human now. Never come to a hospital again. Here are humans everywhere. You're lucky you've got me. Okay?"
Then the nurse handed her a card with a phone number to call someone and sneaked out of her room.
Minzo, being just a kid was surprised, but not as an adult would be. Thanks to her vivid imagination.
It was the vampire queen's number. Vampires lived among humans just like them. They weren't recognized until they revealed themselves. But they never did. 
The Vampire Queen has just lost her children and was lonely. She and her husband, i.e. the vampire king has also divorced some days ago. So, the queen decided to raise her. But didn't adopt her as vampires would.  Minzo knew why her eyes will never be grey and why the queen's Son's eyes would be grey if he was alive.

Listening to her story, Tiano realized that he'll be one very soon. But he isn't one yet.

He was silent while he was listening to her story. Then tears rolled from his eyes. 
He slowly pleaded, " How more do you know?" He wiped his eyes with his arms. 
Minzo was looking at him silently and then carefully responded, " I told you as much as you needed to know. Tell me what more you want to know."
Tiano replied without even taking a second, " All"
" What do you mean by that?"
" You know how much I don't remember. Or, how much I CAN'T."
She hesitated but suddenly acted surprised, " Why? You don't remember some of your memories?"
Tiano stared at her for an answer but she stared back as if she doesn't know the answer. 
Tiano gave up disappointed. 
He sighed and looked at the floor, " Tell me then, how do you feel?"
Minzo smiled and blushed, " It's a bare truth but...I think I kinda like--- WAIT! What feeling?"
Tiano blinked twice as he was startled, " I was talking about how it feels to be a vampire."
After a gap, he continued, " Why? What feeling were you talking about?"
 His cheeks turned red as he realized something.
 Minzo laughed pressing her lips together and then intended to slide away smoothly.
 She stood up and said, " BYE!" and wanted to run out of the room when Tiano grabbed her hand from behind and pulled her against his chest.
 Their face was so close that they could hear each other's breaths against each other's face. Tiano smoothly wrapped his arms around her waist. 
Her long hair hid his arms. Both smiled softly against each other face. Then looked into each other's eyes. 
Tiano bit his lower lip and softly whispered, " You don't know me, how do like me? You're a woman and I'm a man. Anything can happen to you right?"
Minzo laughed, " WOAH! You're a human alone here !"
Tiano nodded defeated and then gazed back into her eyes, " What would've happened if you've married him?! I would've left lonely!"
Minzo laughed again, " Yeah, then how could've we met?! Judging from the way you flirt, I'm not the first girl right?"
"No, you are! Really!"
Minzo laughed and nodded in disbelief. Tiano scratched the back of his head embarrassed and chuckled.
Another second of soul-touching gaze. Tiano confessed softly, " I felt something piercing my heart and then my soul when I first saw you. I think we're fated."
Minzo chuckled in agreement. Their smile disappeared when they looked again into each other's eyes. Tiano pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
Their glance came up and down from eyes to lips. They came closer to kiss and closed their eyes. Minzo slowly wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Then---
