A student asked the teacher, " Is it possible for one to overpower another?"

Impressed, the teacher answered, " Sometimes a tree has more growth and ground yet another has more sunlight. Everything comes around in this world. Don't you think so too?"
The student sat down in satisfaction.

Alex woke up beside Zuch.
Zuch was still sleeping.
She looked at him for a while sadly but with something like love.

She wanted to hug him, kiss him, hold him, talk to him but couldn't even rest her palm on his forehead, or caress his hair.

 She looked around groggily.
 An unfamiliar environment, an unfamiliar room.
The room had wooden furniture.
She noticed a couch with red-colored velvet seat covers.


She got up from the bed on her feet carefully.

She walked around the house until she saw someone standing in front of the big terrace window facing his back.
The psyche of the person was taller than both Zuch and the man of earlier who claimed Zuch as his son.

 Alex queried, " Excuse me? May I have a minute? May I ask where is this? And...May I know who are you?"

 Without looking at her the man answered, "It's Montreal, Quebec."
He took a sip from his coffee cup again as he calmly gazed outside the window.

 Alex asked again, "And...who are you?"

 Now, the man looked at her and she noticed that he too, had the same grey eyes as Zuch.

He had a rather pointy jawline and a more ovular face than Zuch.

"I'm his biological brother, Zaios Zeinzi"

 Alex wasn't much surprised. She muttered the part that felt weird to her, " 'Biological brother' "

The man chucked hearing her mutter and turned to her with a warm smile.

Being impatient, Alex added, "I've heard of you. Look, I'm a nobody but he is protecting me and I'm unaware of the reason," she said to almost herself.

 After a small pause, she said, "Are you a well-wisher of him?"

Zai laughed heartily.
He placed the coffee cup to a table nearby.


 "That is why you two are alive here," he said.

 Alex asked him with a stoic look," Thank you so much...By any chance, do you know the man ?"

Zai's face mirrored the same cold look as his smile subsided.


He answered, "He is Gaven Geros. He claims us to be his sons but as you can see, we carry the last name 'Zeinzi', not 'Geros'."


 After a calm pause, he said, "Anyway, go back to sleep. You must be very tired."

Alex quickly responded, "Is there any other room?"

Zai replied," 4 more, but you don't have to stay alone or you cannot leave him here, can you? So goodnight. See you tomorrow morning."

Again with a blank look, she said, "So?... Who jumped and .....Who got burnt?"

He smiled warmly hiding his inner sudden panic perfectly, "I don't know what are you talking about. Get some rest."

She smirked slightly and shook her head.

She walked away back to her room. She lay down beside Zuch. She closed her eyes watching him praying that he woke up soon. Time passed and slumber washed over her. 

Zuch fluttered open his eyes.

He said in a low whisper.
"Tiano.  Got.  Burnt."

He looked at a sleeping  Alex as if he expected a reaction from her.

The moment he said it, Zai's chest tightened. It started aching. He fell on his knees screaming in pain.
He screamed and screamed, but it was unheard. Not a single sound came out of his mouth...

 



                                            "My dear brother...We are intertwined.

                                    You and me, we are two trees from the same root..."

Zai said in his thoughts while screaming in pain.
