Sodapop's P.O.V.

I had been waiting for around an hour and a half. I wonder if Ponyboy and the girl are okay. I was beginning to realize it probably wasn't a great idea to leave them home alone. I sat for awhile longer before I heard a blood curdling siren. I heard the doors open and after a little while they brought in a stretcher with a boy on it. "Hurry! We're losing him!" The nurses yelled. "Get the girl out of here!" Another nurse yelled. I saw them drag a girl away. Man that looks a lot like the girl that we found. They brought her over to sit by me. Her face was buried in her hands as she sobbed. I looked at her curiously. She seemed so familiar. She finally looked up and my stomach dropped. It was the girl we had found. The mute. If she was here did that mean the boy on the stretcher was Ponyboy? She looked at me and shrank back. "It's okay. I won't hurt you." I said quietly. She hugged me and I held her back. I pulled back and stared at her. "I need something to call you. How about....Moo? Short for mute?" I said. She nodded, but kept the frown on her face. A moment later Two-bit and Steve ran in the room. I looked up at them. "What happened guys?" I asked. "We don't know. When we got there we heard her scream so we ran in. When we did Pony was laying on the floor unconscious and she was hovered over him." Two-bit said. I looked at Moo. She looked afraid. She got up and went to the bathroom. I didn't ask questions cuz when you gotta go, well, you gotta go! We waited for her, but then we heard voices in the bathroom. I walked over and knocked on the door. "Moo? Is everything alright?" I asked. The voices stopped and I heard a bang. I knocked again, but nothing happened. I went and found a nurse. "Excuse me. I know you're probably really busy, but my friend has been in the bathroom a long time and I heard a bang in there. I'm concerned about her and she can't say what's wrong because she's a mute. Do you think you can open the door or something?" I asked politely. She nodded and walked to the bathroom. She knocked on the door before unlocking it. I heard her gasp and I jogged over to her. I looked in the bathroom to find Moo on the floor, her head bleeding, and blood on the sink. "Moo!" I yelled. The nurse held me back while I tried desperately to get to her. Steve and Two-bit came over and got me and took me back to the waiting room. We watched as she was carried away to the ER. "Hey Soda.  She'll be fine. Her, Pony, and Darry. It's just a stroke of bad luck." Steve said confidently. Is this really bad luck? If so then this has been one really unlucky afternoon.
