A Poem For Christmas
Music playing softly.Snow falling gently.
And the home decorated with care.
Ryan looks around at the guests in his home, but sadly enough the one he wants to see, isn't there.
Freema declined his invitation so quickly.
He thought maybe she was sick.
Little did he realize or care to think, it had all to do with him and Liz.
A while before she had heard him speak sweetly, in the dim lights of the hall at their work.
He told her he loved her and wanted her always.
Leaving Freema broken and angry at him for being a jerk.
The jerk who told her to have babies with him.
The jerk who held her so sweet.
The jerk who always tells her she's beautiful.
Every time they meet.
But he doesn't know this.
He may not ever.
And there's no point in guessing with her, because she's always in different weather.
So with his party jamming and guests having fun.
He goes off a finds his lady love.
There in the living room on his nice leather couch, she sits with a smile and a laugh from her throat.
"Hey baby, I've missed you."
She says so sweet as can be.
"Just tending to guests. Who might you be?"
He turns to a man, tall handsome and blonde- who's blue eyes sparkle like the sea at dawn.
"My name is Chase and I work with Liz."
"Funny, she's never mentioned you." Ryan says pretty pissed.
Sizing him up and looking between- he knows he shouldn't, but he suspects something.
Liz had been distant.
Since the test came back negative.
She's been staying out late and lying- making excuses about all of her traces.
"I've mentioned him before- Barcelona and Milan."
"Berlin and Hong Kong."
"Yes, it rings a bell- I guess you can say. You two shared a few hotel rooms- which, how does that go, by the way?"
