A New Journey

"What?" Tarika shouted out of confusion. Her confusion was mixed with amazements also.
"Yes." Tasha assured her.
"You're not joking right?" Tarika couldn't believe her ears.
"But.. how, I mean... "
Tasha became sad.
Tarika sat down beside her best friend on bed and kept a hand on her shoulder.
"Is everything alright? Did something happen in mission?"
"A lot of things." Tasha became emotional.
"Tasha, what happened?" Tarika became worried.
"I can't share the details Tarika but I almost lost him, we almost lost him. And right at that moment I realized I haven't given him what he deserves, I haven't given myself what i deserve. Life is too short to waste your time taking a decision which you know by heart is right."
Tarika herself remembered how sacred she was after the incident which happened only a few days ago. That was terrible. The feel of dying incomplete and lonely had also occured to her. But still, she's not sure if she would have taken the decision which Tasha did. This was a life time decision. She really should think about it.
"Listen," Tasha put her one hand on her best friend's thigh, "I need to make a lot of people understand me and I dont want you to be one of them. Just stick by my side okay?"
"But, I am not sure."
"But I am."
"Tasha... let's think about it more."
"I have been thinking about it a lot Tarika."
Tarika sighed and then nodded.
"Cool. Let's tell our moms about it then." Tasha rolled her eyes.
"Okay."

Tasha was welcomed warmly in Bureau along with Vivek upon completing the mission successfully. Everyone wes praising them but Tasha's eyes were specially stuck on her mentor. Although she did receive a "Good job" line from him she was expecting more. Not only compliments. She could do fine with criticism as well. Anything from him. Finally she managed to talk to him in private.
"Hello sir "
"Hello."
"How are you? "
"Good." Abhijeet gave a confusing look to her. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing. I was just wondering... you know, that you would enlighten me with my mission's right and wrong things."
"You wanna a lecture from me for your immature behaviour during the mission?" Abhijeet raised his one eyebrow.
"What? No.. I mean, yeah fine.. if you want to."
