Chapter 6

Falcon's PoV

Falcon was in the library. With Saphira. Again. Now days it seemed like Falcon spent all his time in the library. It was a great place, really.

Books lined the shelves. Cozy corners to read in or desks to study on. But what Falcon loved the most was the book chats he had with Saphira.

First, we picked out a book to read. Then, we read the book. Finally, we plan out a place and time to talk about the book. Last time we picked a book called 'The Legend of The Lost Continent'.

"...So, does this book sound interesting?" Saphira asked. "Huh?" I said, immediately snapping out of my day dream. "Oh! Uh, yeah!" I say. I wasn't really paying attention but Saphira always picked out good books.

"Do you wanna hunt?" I ask. "Sure!" Saphira answered. We checked out our books and then jumped off into the sky.

Soon we were pumping our wings and flying high in the sky. I scanned the ground while flying, hoping to catch a glimpse of prey.

There! A mountain goat! I eyed it and then at the right moment dove! I could feel the air pushing against me as I swooped down and swiftly killed the goat.

I dragged the carcass on a rock as Saphira landed next to me. "Great catch!" Saphira said. "Thanks." I say. I sliced it in half and gave half to Saphira. "No, you don't have to." Saphira said, pushing to away. "I insist on you having it." I say, pushing it back. "Oh, allright," Saphira finally gave in.

After we ate we parted our ways. I went to fly with other SkyWings, while Saphira went to swim in one of the lakes.

Near the end of my flight, I noticed something odd. One SandWing rushed inside quickly, don't they like the heat of the sun? Another part was that she was talking into an amulet. Wait a sec, that's the SandWing in my winglet. Desert.
