(181106 Jin holds a special place in my heart 🥵😩)
Having spent the entirety of Sihyuk's birthday party hiding in a corner with Jin and Yoongi, after JK had shown up five minutes after her, with his girlfriend glued to his face, Mimie found herself glaring at the couple going at it on the dance floor around 2 am. She hadn't used her words, but Jin knew exactly what was running through Mimie's head as she sat scowling.
"You look great, don't worry, it's not you," he reassured, sipping knowingly at his drink. Yoongi had left about an hour before and to be honest, Jin had been ready to leave for the last thirty minutes but he wasn't about to abandon Mimie. It was partly because of his gentlemanly nature, but also he knew his presence distracted her from drinking too much and causing a scene.
"Thanks," She glanced at him briefly, taking a second to fully return to reality before replying. "But if that was true I wouldn't be going home alone..." Taking pity on the girl, Jin silently compromised to wait another half hour with Mimie.
"You know what they say... The night is still young," he planted a 'last drink' in her hand, taking one for himself as well, bracing to turn his attention to the rest of the party, practically hunting men like prey with his eyes. Adding a quick "And even if you don't meet someone, you can come home with me."
"Huh?" she teased, feigning an appalled expression.
"I don't mean it like that, brat, you can sleepover at the dorms, we can have a movie night?"
Back at the dorm, the pair squabbled over a movie to watch, having quickly abandoned the hunt for a man for Mimie after Jk and his girlfriend had crashed into the other side of the booth, yet to come up for breath.
"I would like a Hugh Grant movie, please. I want to wallow in my singleness," Mimie pouted dramatically, tucking herself under Jin's extended arm
"Oh please," The man scoffed, flicking at her playfully, "You could have had any guy at that party that you wanted. You didn't make the effort!"
"Maybe I don't want just any guy," she laughed him off but struggled to maintain it after she rolled her eyes. "Maybe it takes more than physical attraction and a glass of wine for me to feel comfortable being so vulnerable with a person, you know? Don't get me wrong, I want to be thrown around just as much as the next girl, but also need to know I'm safe and looked after. What I need is a guy I know that it wouldn't be weird after and-,"
