"Boss, we're getting a shipment
in tonight. Dev wants you to
call him" advik says, entering my
office.

I nod at him and wave him out before grabbing my phone and dialing , our shipment and cargo supplier and protectors, phone number.

"Dev saberwal" he answers
in two rings.

"It's sidharth, you wanted me to
call?" I ask, sitting back in my chair. I
hear a sigh on the other side.

"Yeah, shipment of guns. I need to
talk to you about ranjeet. He's closing
in on your territory, don't know
if you've noticed but my men saw
some of his people by the docks last
night. I've told them to keep an eye
out" he says and I take a deep breath.

"What could he want? We haven't
had many problems with him or
Pranit in a while." I ask, intrigued
to why the these people needs to
be on my territory.

They've already done enough damage to my family.

"My brothers been keeping an
eye on pranit and there's nothing
at the moment so who knows what
he's planning. Just keep an eye out,
I'll make sure the shipments safe
tonight" dev states.

"Thanks dev, keep me updated"

"Will do" he says and I hung up.
Why would ranjeet needs to be on my
territory? We're not allies or friends so what's his business? God, if only we knew.

Maybe I should put some protection
on shehnaaz. Should I tell her? But then she'll ask why and I don't think I'm ready to tell her but if I don't tell her she'll be in more danger. But I can't tell her cause she might hate me.

Why's it so fucking complicated?

Now my mind is on shehnaaz and last
night....that kiss.

*Last Night*

"Okay, so I admit, it was pretty fun
and the food was fantastic" shehnaaz
admits as we walk back to my car.

"Told you" I smirk, knowing what
she owes me but I'll wait till the
perfect moment.

"So? Your house or your car?" I
ask while opening my car door.
She thinks as I shut her door and
make my way around the car and
get in my side.

"House please. I'll walk to work
tomorrow, it's not far" she says as I
start the engine.

"Thank you for dinner""she breaks
the long slience on the way. "It's
the least I could do" I shrug and
she laughs.

"That's true"

"So, do you accept my apology?" I
ask, glancing at her quickly while
driving. She thinks for a moment.

"Maybe"

"What does maybe mean?" I raise
a brow, intrigued by the woman
next to me.

"I guess you'll have to keep proving yourself worthy of my forgiveness"

"You're a tough one. Playing hard to
get?" I ask, pulling into her street.
She laughs and shakes her head,
"If I was playing hard to get, I
wouldn't have gone out with you
tonight. I'm tougher than I look"

"I have no doubt" I smile, stopping
right in front of her house. I quickly
get out so I can open her car door. I
was raised to be a gentleman and I'm
not letting my lifestyle stop that.

I open her door and hold out my
hand. She smiles and takes it as
we walk to her front door. "Thank
you again for tonight" She says, facing me.
