Chapter 7: What Must be Done

  Without saying any extra words ''Take all thw guns you can carry, I might need some help in killing them'' paul, Jamal and Jessica without wasting any more time grabbed the dead guys guns and we got out from the back door, I started walking feeling the pain of the wound knowing very well sooner or later the smell of blood will lead them to me... if these four stayed with me they might be in the same danger as if they stayed in the restaurant but perhaps the salt in my safe house will distort their smell but still, it would be a big risk. I stopped for few seconds put my bag down on the ground took small bags from the bag and give it to all four of them '' It has salt use it to distort their smell''. They followed me as I lead them through the town to my safe house wasn't too far away 10 to 15 mins of walk will get us there. They had cars rotating around the town searching for supplies taking everything that might be useful for them. It would be too much trouble if we encountered them on our way, good thing I got 3 behind me that will help me if it comes to it... this wound is the worst case possible.  

  Saw one of the cars on the street ahead as we were in the dark ally between buildings I knew we have to kill them now the smell of blood will bring attention to us. Paul wanted to use his salt to distort their smell but it will only make them not know where we are exactly but still will know someone is here. ''Don't, get your guns ready we will finish them fast'' without wasting time I got out of the hide and shielded myself behind a car and I shoot their tier making them lose control and clash against one of the burned cars on the sideway and then started executing them as paul and Jamal started shooting wiht me. It seems Jamal isn't a good shooter but Paul was accurate in shooting. Jessica stays hidden with the kid and once we are done with executing them she came out of the hide. I knew what I have to do now. I knew what must be done. The girl speaks ''What will we do now, we can't just run all around the city killing and running'' Paul replies ''All we need to do is waste time help is coming soon'' Jamal said ''We don't how long they will take'' I didn't knew what they were talking about but I had a plan in my mind so I cut them off ''We don't have time follow me, I got a plan.'' without saying any other word not giving them time to object I started walking away. The girl said ''How do we know we can even trust you? You just killed someone who was chained saying we have no hope to save him. How do we know that you won't use us as bait or toss us once you get cornered?'' I replied ''You don't, now you either follow me or you will get left behind''. They knew I am their only lead in this town they didn't have a plan except to wait for some people to rescue them? I hope they won't be extra trouble later... later hmm funny that's if there is later that's what I thought as they followed me. 

  It is now not far away just a few streets ahead they are searching for us luckily we didn't pass any other cars. I stop and said ''Take the right street keep walking and you will see a burned tree in front of a destroyed house after 2 houses you will see a ruined house don't enter it from the front door open the window walk on the empty spaces that are surrounded by salt open the door of the basement and skip the first step if you didn't it the step will break and a bottle of whiskey will be poured on you just in case anyone comes in the house you will be warned and you will know what to do.'' Jamal asked '' why are you telling us this?'' I replied '' Smell of blood will bring them to you guys as well if you stayed with me and that would put you guys in risk  if you have your friends coming then tell them I would need their help in the woods tell them to find me'' Sam said ''But in the woods'' I cut him off ''I know don't worry kid it all will be alright.'' Jessica said '' I don't think we can thank you enough you saved us and now you will play as bait to distract them.. just please make sure to survive'' I node with my head and walked to the left side of the street. I never guessed it would end up as it did that day.
