Chapter 17: Korsal Region

 He smiled, he looked like a guy in his forties. He stood up and said '' James did you achieve what you wanted? It seems there is a new face as well'' James replied ''Ohh I believe I did''. He continued ''Well I should introduce myself then, I am the supreme leader, the founder of this region and safe base korsal.'' James said '' You really love to brag about it huh?'' and they both laughed. korsal replied ''Well I did start all this from 0 didn't I'' James said ''Well don't you think you should introduce yourself'' as he looked at me. I said '' My name is Michael'' James said ''Well now we would like to know can he stay with us in the same building?'' Korsal said '' Ohh come on James you don't need to ask but this isn't the real reason you came to my office for isn't that right?'' James giggles and replied ''As I expected from you korsal, no there's more actually. I would like a division commanded by one of the vice commanders to help me. I believe it is time.'' Korsal sat down on the desk again ''We have few thousands in our region and we have a threat from other regions that say we are in peace but could attack any minute and you saying a full division and a vice commander as well. Aren't, you demanding too much?'' James replied '' This could put an end to it, we both know as long as these demons exist we will remain in danger.'' Korsal said '' There is the possibility that all this will be for nothing, you have always advised me and together along with other high ranks we were able to build this.'' James said '' We need as much help as we can get, have my knowledge ever failed you? I am the one that told you building a safe base near the ocean will save us from the demos attacks.'' Korsal cut him off '' but not all kinds of demons'' James said '' but it would be safer than any other place. I even brought new captains that have abilities unlike other captains and tools that can fight the demons''. Korsal sigh and said '' We will have a meeting and decide of course you can attend and explain things'' James said '' Thank you Korsal, this is a thing we must do'' and then we walked outside of the headquarter.

   James said ''follow me we will head to captains block'' then he stops as we are walking and says '' It seems I forgot to ask him about Maverick'' I had no idea who was he talking about but we kept walking until we reached the building. It had 10 empty rooms, James said ''Wait here will go get your key'' he went inside his room and got out after few moments with a key '' Your room is number is 7 consider yourself lucky not anyone can live in this building unless they are captains.'' I replied sarcastically '' Yeah I feel honored'' James laughed. I took the key and he said ''I forgot afterward you need to go ad get new clothes'', I asked ''Where do I go?'' and he replied ''Will tell Gabriel to take you there he loves going there'' as he giggles. I went to the room to settle down. It had a bed a closet and a table that was attached to the wall. It wasn't a very big room but it was more than enough. I also had lights in my room. I must say I was surprised by how big and safe this place was. I heard a knock on the door a few minutes after I settle down. I opened the door and Gabriel was standing there. He said ''hey... James told me to take you to the cloth store.''.  I think that was the first time hearing him speak and they say I am a man of few words.

  We walked to the cloth store saw a young blonde girl working there she greeted me, I saw Gabriel blushing. I got closer to him and said '' Go talk to her kid'', he said ''What?'' as he was surprised. I said '' She won't notice you if you just keep looking at her every now and then admiring her'' he said ''I can't'' as he looked down. I said '' what you got to lose''. He just didn't speak another word after that. I grabbed a burgundy hoodie and grey trousers and got out of the store. I said ''James said you still didn't reach your full potential. I don't know about him but you seem powerful already'' Gabriel replied '' I am still weak compared to others. I am useless without my dagger'' I said '' Don't compare yourself with others but learn from them only, try to figure out a way to surpass them. How did you get your ability in the first place.'' He replied '' It started when the earthquake happened and the demons started to come out of nowhere I fell into a hole that was made by the earthquake and I lost my consciousness. The next day  I saw the light coming from the hole and I found a dagger laying on feathers when I grabbed it I felt this warm feeling and when a demon attacked me I draw the dragger and light came out of it burning the demon.'' I replied ''I see, well we better hurry it is getting dark'' Gabriel said ''Don't worry it is safe in here you can stay in the night as well'' I said '' So the demons really won't attack here at all?'' Gabriel replied ''from what James says there are only 2 kinds of demons that would reach this far, the other demons don't like going towards the ocean.'', I said ''Hmm it is safer than my own home then'' He replied ''Yea''. It didn't take long before we reached our rooms but out of habit, I slept before it is dark. The next morning I heard my door being knocked on when I opened the door It was Anna.
