Chapter 19: The First Meeting

Korsal was sitting at the head of the table, on his left, there were 3 men and 1 woman. On his right, there were 1 woman and 2 men. '' Tsk are we really gone discuss such a request from the army?'' a guy sitting in the seat on the left of korsak said, he had a beard and cold eyes. James replied '' It seems you still didn't change Gorsol'' Gorsol replied '' nothing personal James but this world is not a fairy tale I am not willing to risk any recruit I trained for this.  You asked for a division led by the vice commander. You asking for a 100 and more for unnecessary risk'' A girl on korsal right who was sitting in the next seat to Korsal said '' Why don't we listen to him first Gorsol you have always been impatient'' the guy sitting next to her said ''The places he asking to go to is extremely dangerous even my command unit won't dare to approach unless we have to''. Mia seemed old and had white hair. Gorsol looked old as well but he had white black hair and had a black mustache.Korsal said ''Gorsol, Damian, Mia please wait for your turn to speak. Don't argue now this isn't a room of chaos''. '' Chaos, remind me of 1 meeting that wasn't chaotic'' the guy sitting in the seat left of James and right of Damian said. He seemed not too old and he was wearing glasses. James laughed and said '' I couldn't agree more''. Mia said '' Leo not every meeting is chaotic as you say it is only when Gorsol attends he gets annoyed from Borchav and takes it on the rest of us''. A guy sitting on the left of Gorsol said '' Me? why would he be annoyed with me?'' as he gives a wicked smile. He was bold and was chubby. Korsal sigh. ''I don't take it on the rest of you but I do get annoyed.'' Gorsol said as he looked at him with the side of his eyes. The guy sitting on the right of James said '' Well I am enjoying the chatter but when will we start the meeting?'', he had one eye band on his left eye. ''I agree with steve when will the meeting start we got work to do'' the woman sitting between steve and Borchav said. James said ''Diana you look lovely as ever. Have you thought about going out for dinner?'' James asked. Diana was a girl in her thirties, had black hair. She replied ''Why would I date an old guy that isn't officially part of the high-rank console?'' James replied ''oh well I still have some power you know'' Diana responded ''hmm''. 

  Korsal stands as he looked straight into James, Everyone from high ranks stayed quiet and looked at korasl. Korsal said ''James explain to us what you need exactly, why you need it and why should we help you?'' then they looked at James as he says ''Well my old friend, this has always been my goal to end this disaster that landed on us humans. I have already explained to you before about these demons and as long as they live in this world they will end humanity if not today then in the 40 years. We were how much 7 billion? Now we don't even reach 1 million, not even 100 thousand. I have searched for years for an answer on how to stop all this. How to stop human extinction. The only answer was to close the 6 gates. If we don't do that sooner or later humans will perish. I want a 100 to 300 soldier led by a trusted vice commander along with the captains I have gathered the last few years to end this.'' Korsal responds'' Do we even know these gates exist or not? From what I understood before that there are powerful demons you called them demon lords? Do we even have the power to fight them? How much it will cost us?'' Damian said '' The real ques'' as he was talking Korsal looked at him and he stayed quiet. James replied ''We have 6 captains that possess an ability it should be enough. However, who are scared of rebellion can't blame you we all saw how 1 guy with an ability can lead an army of 700 and almost destroy our region. We are running out of time, there are demons of destruction and reapers we all saw what they did to the other region they destroyed most of their army this why they made peace with us and trust me that won't be the last time not for them and not for us. The gates do exist just like how the demon lords exist why are you avoiding the inevitable. This region was made to survive.'' 

  Korsal sits down ''Whoever wishes to speak they may speak. It is time to discuss this and vote after it.'' Mia started to speak ''I agree with James we all know that eventually the demons of destruction runs around the edges of the world and destroy all in their face.'' Damian speaks ''when was the last time it happened 7 months ago?'' Gorsol says ''and how many have we lost almost 1 k of our own trained soldiers'' Leo said '' It seems that we will be in danger of their existence regardless and 200 or 300 sounds reasonable but would it really end all of this?'' James speaks ''There are 6 demons, we will manage to handle it with 1 division but I prefer they would be experienced so they can survive.'' Gorsol speaks ''All our units are well trained James but if I must say the most experienced unit would be Leo unit'' Borchav asks'' We lost around 890 soldiers only in the last attack of the demons it is still not a lot. Gorsol looked at him with hate as he grabs his shirt. Borchav seemed scared and Diana speaks ''Play safe boys we don't want a war between our units now.'' Korsal step right away ''Gorsol let him go and Borchav watch your tongue''. One guy behind Leo steps in and says ''May I speak?''. Everyone wondered what he wanted to speak.
