I went to my hideout which is beneath the ground. It is a basement of a house, I knew his owners. They were good people. It all came so suddenly they attacked the town in the night. It was the most horrifying thing I ever saw. People were running for their lives. screams of torn-up people begging to die. Their heads were cut off their body yet they scream. Black sticks penetrate their bodies. They try to pull it out as these creatures watch them and eat parts of their hands as they scream. The house is so damaged the only thing left untouched is the basement.
I opened the right window of the house and close it behind me. Saw the salt and pieces of broken glass on the floor as it covers around empty spaces almost shaped like a foot. I walk on the empty spaces as I reached the door of the basement. I opened the door as there was no salt around the door. Closed the door and walked down the basement skipping the first step on the stairs then walked down the stair. I admired how much I changed the basement as I remembered it was where I used to hang out with my friends. I thought to my self-questioning.... why I am alive. I saw each one of them die in front of me. I sit down on the bed, placed my shotgun on the table near it. There is a tv in front of me that we used to watch together, it is still there. It brings back memories. It is dark down there yet you get used to it.
I knew the night was coming. I could hear the voices of these creatures screaming horrifying screams scratching with their nails wherever they go. There are not only one kind of these creatures but many kinds. I heard someone screaming as he was running "help, please help. I am gonna die." he repeated that over and over. They possess people, they can keep them alive as they break their bodies to pieces......... that's what I know so far. They are demons. The second rule, never to go out at night. You will not hope to survive especially if alone.
I closed my eyes as I lay on the bed. You don't get used to the sounds yet you get used to the darkness of the basement over time. I hoped no demon and no human will get inside the house. I opened my eyes as the screams went away. I knew it was morning, I had to make sure. I barely slept, I usually sleep at noon since that day... that day that everything changed. I move a small piece of wood that is round from the ceiling. Saw the light from the window. I put the piece back in its place. I took my shotgun and took my bag. Went upstairs skipping the first step. Opened the door slowly and carefully as I looked at the salt. I checked my pocket and my hand grabbed a small bag. I never know when this will be useful... I hope that day will never come.
I went out of the house through the window. I walked down I can't see much difference in town than yesterday. It is destroyed... It is not the town that I once used to live in. Is there an end to all this...... I wondered but I never knew I was walking to the end of this terrifying world. Never knew that this day everything would change.
