sunday. the day ellie would be eating dinner with the manifolds. the day ellie would see jack for the first time after she (kind of) figured out her feelings.
you could say she was nervous.
the girl was wearing a light blue summer dress which made her eyes look even prettier then they normally did. she had a few golden bracelets and necklaces on and earrings which she got from mrs. manifold.
ellie looked in the mirror again, and made sure she didn't forget anything, she said goodbye to her cat and left her apartment.
she walked out of her flat towards where her car was parked. when she got in she took a deep breath and started the small wagon, 'ready' to leave.
the blonde girl arrived at the manifold household in ten minutes, she wasn't sure if she should just cancel and drive back home, or get her ass up and walk towards the door.
she did the second thing. the door opened and showed a happy mrs. manifold.
"hello elle, you look stunning." the woman complimented her. she send the woman a smile and entered the house.
jack and josh walked out of the living room bickering about god knows what, they fell quite when their eyes locked with ellie's
the girl send them a nervous smile, the oldest manifold felt his cheeks burn, while the other one returned that smile.
josh happily walked to the dining room, while jack was still looking at ellie,
"you look lovely, liz." he said. the girl felt her cheeks heating up and looked at her feet. she muttered a soft 'thanks' and walked behind the younger manifold sibling.
the five of them were seated at the table, mr. manifold on the end, his wife next to him, and jack across from her, josh sat next to his mother which leaves ellie in front of him and next to jack.
jack was in a conversation with his parents while josh looked at ellie with confusion written all over his face, he took his phone out of his pocket and started typing something, just when he send what ever he typed ellie received a text message.

josh looked up from his phone with a smirk on his face. ellie barely shook her head but it was enough to tell him that he shouldn't say anything.
the younger boy just nodded and joined in on the conversation his family was having. ellie let out a silent sigh of relief and soon did the same thing the boy opposite of her had done.

it was almost 1am but ellie just couldn't sleep, there was to much going on in her brain. she had the notebook laying on her lap and she was moving a pen between her fingers before butting it on the paper just writing down some words.
she wrote words down and looked at them, this was a good start for a song. the girl walked over to where her guitar was stood and sat back on her bed. she carefully started strumming the strings of her guitar. when she would find a melody she liked she wrote it down on her notebook.
her room was soon filled with the sound of her guitar, the noise of an clicking pen, and if you listened closely you could hear the young woman swear under her breath whenever she made a mistake.
she felt her eyes growing heavy signing that she should probably head to sleep, so she placed her instrument in the corner of her room and got ready for bed.
