Added Scenes - continuing the story

Its Time- part 2

"Why did we think this was a good idea! I'm
Going to kill Han Shangyan!" Tong Nian groaned in frustration as she worked through another contraction. They were still 15 minutes from the hospital and no one had been able to get ahold of her husband. Demo's hand was almost purple as he tried to give encouragement to Tong Nian. Grunt was blowing up all the phones he could find. Boss, Solo, even Little Mi the teams manager and also former team solo member.

Wu Bai drove the car as steadying as possible his normal bored persona was now one of both fear and concentration. There was no way he wouldn't get Tong Nian to the hospital. He would bet his whole career on it. He finally decided to take action. Connecting his phone to the car he held it to One and asked him to speed dial the number 2.

"What's that gonna do?" One asked while taking the phone.

"We're going to find the one person who can control them and bring them to where they need to be."

That speed dial turned out to be the number of Wu Bai's girlfriend and also former team solo member Appledog. "What?! She's having  the babies now?" Appledog was confused to say the least. Tong Nian was still early, the due date was a few weeks away. Han Shangyan who never left his wife's side if he could help was. Was MIA during the most important event of his life. "I'll find him". Appledog hung up without another word. Grabbed her purse and went in search of the wayward father-to-be. Keys in one hand and purse in the other she set her navigation to the one place they probably did not think it check. Or to call. Solos house and the old team Solo building.

The normal 20 mins drive took about 10. Luck was on her side with no cars or traffic on the road. She barley put the car in brake before running out and repeating slamming her fist on the door. "Old Han! Solo! Where are you?! Tong Nian. The babies!" 

The door opened. Behind it was Solos daughter Little Ai. "Why are you here?" She asked specifically "this isn't your base" her face was one of anannoyed pre-teen. Who was not happy to see her father ex girlfriend.

"Where's Old Han. Tong Nian is in labor and on her way to the hospital". 

"They are on the roof" she pointed upward and left without another word.

Appledog made her way to the ladder as if in a trance. It was the first time in a decade she set foot in the base. And memories of the fight and the breakup of team Solo came rushing back. While she did not normally dwell on the past. The rush of old emotions and pain was almost blinding. "This is not the time. The past is in the past. Tong Nian is having these babies now!" She pushed the window to the roof open and stepped out.

At first she didn't see them. Just the view of the other houses and the lights. And then she saw them sitting in the middle. The old spot where they all sat. Time had passed. They were all older. But now the future seemed so bright. For all of them. No longer were they held by their disbanding. They were still team Solo.

POV: Han Shangyan
We had stopped drinking hours ago. There were no more words to divas. No more advice to be given. Things were going to be okay. It wasn't just me. It wasn't something I had to bear alone. To be a leader, a husband, and even a father you have to accept help. That was the main idea of why Solo had called me out today. He wanted me to know that he, the team and our friends wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon. These kids would not be with love and acceptance from them. Even more so, Tong Nian and I were to accept that we as a couple they will go through hardships while being parents but to always remember to cherish their own love and relationships. They had to keep their happiness a priory as well as their soon to be born children.

Han Shangyan for the first time what felt like a long time released a weight lifting breath. His shoulders felt light and that everything would be okay. He had his brothers. He had his team. The fire that is CTF will fuel not only him but his wife and children.

He hadn't even realized the time just now looking at his watch. At the same time the door to the roof open and our crawled Appledog. That's something he never expected. Appledog hadn't been back to the base in over a decade. What could have brought her here?

"You boys can't answer a phone!" He took a bit back at the panic in her voice. She pulled herself the rest of the way up and steadily made her way over to them. For a second he got a flash of this same scene back in their twenties. He bit back a chuckle.

"What happened Appledog?" Asked Solo calmly. He didn't even question why she was there. He knew that for whatever reason. It has broken her strike against ever returning to the base. It must have something to do with Little Squid. Or something just as important.

"Solo! Old Han! While you boys were doing god knows what we've been trying to get ahold of you forever! Tong Nian's water broke. She's in labor. Wi Bai and the K&K team are driving her to the hospital as we speak. You need to get up and get to your wife before you miss the birth of your children!"

Immediately Han Shangyan jumped up, almost causing himself to fall off the roof. He was steadied by Solo. Labor?! Now? She was still weeks away. But Lord CTF knows that those babies were on their own schedule. He scrambled to the window and jumped down the ladder not even bothering to climb. Before Solo could offer his hand Han Shangyan was frantically looking for his keys. Whatever calm and peace he had previously felt was now replace by a misfire of excitement and fear. His two friends watched him curse under his breath as he shook out his pockets.

Solo decided to take charge. Appledog. Why don't you drive Old Han. He's in no condition to be behind the wheel. I'll grab Little Ai and we will meet you guys there. Appledog nodded in agreement and took her former teammate by the arm. Steadily she lead him out the door and to her car. He was now silent Proably lock in his own head and worried sick.

Han Shangyan immediately plugged in his dead phone to Appledog's car. "What do you be asked her as the pulled out the drive way. She explained to him how she got the call from Wu Bai. She had clearly been able to hear Tong Nian in the background it was definitely a real labor.

"How could you let your phone die on the day of not only your baby shower but the one time you leave your wife's side this whole pregnancy" she groaned in frustration as they hit another red light. Whatever luck she had coming here must have run out. This was the second red light in a shirt timespan.

"I really didn't even realize my phone was dead. Thank god I stoped drinking hours ago." He sounded to dejected. And mor so even scared. Even had promised Tong Nian he would be by her side and this one incident might have him miss the broth of his babies

"There's nothing we can do now. But focus on getting there as quickly and safely as possible" Appledog wasted no time once the light turned green. As she drove she let the silence take over the car. Years of working with Old Han had taught her that during this time. Unless you were his wife. There was no talking to him. The road stretched ahead  with possibility. There was no question that tonight, everything was about to change. Whether they were ready or not.
