Just a moment- short scene

Everyone knew that one of the greatest challenges in life was parenting. Not just in theory parenting or helping take care of others but the every day to the birthday to holiday to day to day stuff.
Han Shangyan assumed that after so many years of taking care of other that being a father would be easier to him. He was wrong. So entirely wrong. The most wrong he has been in his life.

It was around 5 am. The babies has been up half the night. Tong Nian finally got his daughter back to sleep. While his son layed there bright eyes and wide awake. He looked up from the crib expectantly at his father. The kids were only a few months old and had just started sleeping through the night. But not his son. Han Shangyan was so sleep deprived he couldn't make heads or tails of it. Deciding to make an executive decision he picked up his son from his crib and carried him to the kitchen. He placed his son in his play pen while he staged to make some coffee. Oh Lord of CTF. Give me strength

After having the kids. The couple moved to Han Shangyan's family home. It was to much to have both the team and his new family at the K&K headquarters. It was A beautiful modern house with more than enough room for the newly formed family. It also allowed Tong Nian the privacy to work uninterrupted. Not that she was working much but during her free time she coded for the police got help with a new project. She has been his rock during this time frame. Her fears about not being ready evaporated once she locked eyes with their children. Her heart has been so full she has forgotten her husband was in the room. It wasn't until he held her chin in his hand and locked eyes with her that he realized that her love for him was nothing compared to her love of their children.

Tong Nian had taken to motherhood with the same force as she snagged her husband. Holding on tight and never letting go. Even though she was sleep deprived and couldn't Rennes the last time she sang for the public it still was her greatest adventure. Han Shangyan placed his son in his play pen giving him a stuffed toy to keep him distracted. The coffee machine was so close. After slowly backing away. He walked into the nearby open kitchen. While keeping his son in his line of sight he began and brewed a very large cup of coffee. While adding milk to his cup he noticed his son has finally fallen back to sleep.

Not even two minutes later he heard the soft taps of his wife's feet coming into the kitchen. She placed their sleeping daughter next to her brother. No words passed between the couple. Just a great full look as Shangyan handed a silent cup of coffee into her smaller hands. It was a rare moment of silence in the house. Life had been nothing close to silent and didn't show any sign of staying that way. The moment itself was beautiful. The two were leaning  against the counter in the kitchen cuppa coffee in hand and nothing but the rising of the sun and musical number of birds in the mornin. Tong Nian leaned her head on her husband chest and felt his arms close around her. The warm feeling of love and cherish spread between the couple. They stayed that way for a few minutes. Coffee cooling and each other company giving the parnets the strength to get through the day. Moments like this were rare. But it reminded them that things wouldn't always be this hectic. But the love they had in the beginning is still there. This time, it's not shown in grand gestures. But is nice cup of caffeine with a tired smile.

*Hello all! So quick update. I busted my ankle, finished my summer course and resigned a work study contract all in the same week. It's been hectic. Here's a short scene while I readjust my schedule. Good news is I'll be back on my feet soon and putting out more chapters. * much love
