The rampage in my head is stopped by a knock on the door. My mom comes in and sits on my bed. "Your father and I are going on a trip. We'll be gone for a week, I've already talked to Mrs. Park and she said you can stay there while we're gone."

"What? Why? Why can't I just stay here?" I argue. "I don't want you staying here alone, Anjae. End of discussion." She states firmly.
"Fine" I huff. I don't bother to pack a bag or anything because I already have a room at Jisung's house. He has a room at my house too. It's a 'best friend being your neighbor' thing.

I walk over to Jisung's house after my parents left for the airport. I knock on the door and I'm greeted by Mrs. Park. I bow to her before running upstairs. I don't go to my room, instead I walk down the hall to Jisung's room. He's not there. I sigh and go to my room.

I plop onto the bed and take out my phone. I'm scrolling through Instagram for a while before I here the front door open. It can only be one person. Jisung. I wait for him to walk up the steps. He passes my room without even glancing up. He's looking down at his phone smiling. Since he obviously didn't see me, I follow him to his room and knock on the door before entering. "Oh hey Anjae" he says, finally looking up at me.

"Hey stranger, it's been forever." I say looking down at my blue socks. "Yeah, I guess it has. What have you been up to?" He asks. "Nothing much, I've been at Lia's house working on our class project." I explain. "Cool" The air is very thick. It's almost uncomfortable "So, do wanna watch a movie?" I ask him, trying to lighten the air.  Me and Jisung love watching movies together because we always make fun of the acting. "Nah I'll pass. I'm about to get on the phone with Chae." He says refusing my offer. "Of course you are" I mumble under my breath before briskly walking away.

I'm on the couch downstairs watching a movie. All. By. Myself. Jisung comes down the stairs and I get excited. But my excitement fades when I hear that he's still on the phone. He just came to grab something to drink. I don't know how much more I can take. I haven't seen him in two weeks and now I'm here but he's ignoring me. It's sickening. I try to remember what Mark said, give Jisung time to balance, but it's been too long.

I go to the kitchen to find Mrs. Park. "Mrs. Park, I know my mom asked if I could stay here and all, but Jisung is practically ignoring me and I can't take it anymore. After tonight I'll be staying at a friend's house." I tell her without getting too angry. "That's fine with me, don't get me in trouble with your mama. And about Jisung, he's just confused. This is something new for him." She tries to reason with me. "About the girl he's with, I want you to look out for her. I get a bad feeling from that girl." She says looking me directly in the eyes. "Yes ma'am!" I respond. I knew I wasn't the only one that got a bad vibe from her.
