"You sure? You kinda looked dazed there for a minute." Thomas continues, wanting to make 100% sure I was okay. Even though I myself wasn't completely certain I was fine I gave him the answer he wanted.

"Ya, just gonna miss this place." I quickly make up, trying to sound as realistic as possible. It had seemed so real that I had began questioning my sanity. Maybe it was all in my head or maybe I had somehow tapped into so odd timeline and saw the future, either way I didn't have time to worry about it seeing that there was too much I needed to get packed before leaving tomorrow.

"You can come in if you want." I say to Thomas before entering my cabin with him awkwardly trailing behind me. His usual confident demeanor slowly faded away considering he was on his turf anymore but instead on mine. Grabbing ahold of my backpack I started to throw any item I might need in the near future, while doing so I couldn't help but keep a tab on Thomas using my peripheral vision. He studied my cabin as if he were at an art gallery gazing at a famous painting, there wasn't much to see other than a few things I managed to collect around the clearing. Other than that the only things I owned were basic necessities, still Thomas appeared to be entertained by getting a peak into where I spent most of my time.

"Whats this?" Thomas asks whilst holding up a necklace I had thought I lost ages ago. I immediately stop what I was doing and rush over to him, making sure what he held in his hand was what I thought it was. Upon closer inspection I discovered it really was the necklace that I had spent months prior looking for.

"Where did you find that?" Snatching it out of his grip I instantly opened the locket to find a family photo of my parents, Cora, and I from years before everything went to shit. I tried latching it around my neck but with excitement flooding through my body my fingers wouldn't stop shaking.

"Just right there," He replies whilst pointing behind one of the books I managed to get, "Do you need help with that?" He could clearly see I was having trouble with it and I nod in return while gently handing it over to him. I could tell he was curious on what was inside the locket and wanted to see but surprisingly he didn't and lightly grasped onto the clasp instead.

"Its a photograph of my parents, Cora, and I back when everything was normal." I inform as he moves behind me, preparing to lace the necklace around my necklace. Considering he cared enough to respect my privacy I thought the least I could do was tell him what the locket was concealing.

"Must be nice remembering your life before this." He utters in a barely audible whisper while moving my hair to the side for better access to my neck, his breathe making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I instinctively closed my eyes, allowing myself to lean into his touch. We were friends, that's it, so why was I enjoying the feeling of his fingers brushing up against my skin. Hearing the click of the clasp I realized he had gotten the necklace secured around my neck but for some reason I felt his fingers gently graze over the nape of my neck over to my shoulders before removing his touch completely. I briskly shake my wandering thoughts away knowing my mind tended to get caught up on over thinking things.

"One way or another we'll get your memories back, I promise." Truth was I didn't know if it was possible for him to recover his memories but I was willing to do anything that would help.

"Dinner should be getting served soon, we should go eat something. I can finish packing later." I declare, Thomas's stomach growling signifying he agreed eating would be a good idea. The walk to the dining hall was anything but peaceful, the total opposite of the scene back in my cabin. The minute we stepped out into the open my sister began pestering Thomas not stop with odd question like, "What are you goals in life," or, "On a scale of 1-10 how much do you care about Y/n?" Each and every time he went to answer Cora would ask yet another question before even half of a word left his mouth. Eventually I just tuned out the one sided conversation and continued the trek to dinner. When we arrived and got seated with food Cora went and sat with one of her friends which made me believe I could actually talk to Thomas now but I was anything but right.
