Basically what I told Thomas was a summed up version of everything including when we met, how close we were to one another, type of things we talked about, anything he might of wanted to know I told him. I expected for him to continually asks questions throughout the whole time I was explaining but instead he sat quietly which surprised me. By the time I had finished recalling and relaying everything back to him the sun had set and maze had closed up for the night.
"And that's about it, Tommy." I say whilst using my nickname for him that I had revealed to him not even a mere half hour ago.
"I still don't believe I didn't have a nickname for you."
"Maybe you did, maybe you didn't. I guess I'm the only one who will know." I reply, not being able to resist the chance at teasing him. Truth was I didn't have a nickname but it didn't hurt to keep him guessing.
"Regardless if I gave you one back then or not I'm giving you one right now." He states proudly, like he just had won the Olympics or something.
"Humor me, what do you plan on picking?"
"Definitely Y/n/n."
"Not to burst your bubble but that's the most stupidest thing I've ever heard." I laugh whilst picking myself up from the log I was sitting on, Thomas doing the same. In complete honestly I found the nickname quite cute and endearing but I was never the person to be open about my true feelings towards things which resulted in me not being able to make myself say what I really thought of it.
"Exactly why it fits you perfectly." He teases before running off towards everyone else. It took me a minute to understand what he meant by what he said and why he ran but when I did I took off in a full on sprint after him.
"Ya real fucking funny Thomas, haha." I sarcastically yell, doing my best to catch up to him. There was no doubt that I was faster than him but seeing that he got a pretty good head start I was having trouble gaining ground on him. After a couple minutes of chasing after him I finally managed to catch him by acting like I tripped and seriously injured myself.
"I'm starting to figure out that you'll always somehow outsmart me." Thomas says with grabbing ahold of my arm and tugging me onto my feet.
"You're just now figuring that out?" I respond earning a small smile and eye roll from him. I'm not sure how but he was able to make the smallest of smiles contagious because not long after his appeared on his face my did too. Before either of us got the chance to say something else Newt comes jogging toward us, trying his best to mask the irritated look on his face.
"Where have you guys been all bloody night?"
"Playing tag?" I answer in a form of a question not knowing what else could explain the reason we were both slightly sweaty and out of breathe.
"Sure your guys were. What I wanted to talk to you about, Y/n, is your sleeping arrangements for tonight and the plan for tomorrow." Newt explains.
"Wait what plan tomorrow?" Thomas and I ask at the same time.
"Combining our people." Newt replies in a tone like it should have been obvious. I knew we were going to do it in the future but I didn't know they'd act on it so quick. Don't get me wrong I was thrilled to see my sister but deep down inside me I knew there was a chance that once we merged with my group that I would be forgotten within an instant. Many of them were much prettier and more interesting than me so why wouldn't they be more intrigued by them than me.
"Oh ya, great." I say, making sure my voice doesn't waver and reveal my idiotic doubts on the situation.
"So I can go ahead and show you where you'll be sleeping if you want." Newt suggest whilst Thomas kicks around the dirt on the ground.
