Author's Note: I have Izuku refer to Shoto as Shoto-san instead of Todoroki-kun because it sounds better to me. (Although Izuku saying Todoroki-kun is cute in its own right.) A bit of a risk, as I know people get crazy and fangirl over Izuku saying Todoroki-kun, but, I have my own personal reasons why I have him address him as Shoto-san. What can I say.

Still. If this change really bothers anyone, let me know, and I might consider changing it. It's a perfectly valid complaint and I can see the reasoning behind it.

Last, but not least-- Text messages between Shoto and Izuku are typed properly, even though in real life, that's a rarity. Just roll with it. Just assume that they have auto-correct if it gets on your nerves. Lol.

------------------------------------------------------------

Izuku turns off his phone before he goes to bed that night.

Why? Because he needs to gather his emotions.

Ever since he met Shoto, Izuku hasn't been feeling like himself at all, which is probably not a good thing.

Besides. There are other things he needs to focus on right now.

Like school. His future career.

Kacchan.

Izuku sighs.

Kacchan.

Now that Izuku thinks about it, thinking about those things right now will only cause Izuku unnecessary stress. He'll think about them tomorrow.

He's going to sleep now.

------------------------------------------------------------

Kacchan doesn't show up to school the next day.

Izuku doesn't even have it in himself to feel relieved. True, he'll be spared today from Kacchan's wrath, but the second the red-eyed demon comes back to school, Izuku knows what awaits him.

On the bright side, at least Kacchan's lackeys never deal damage to Izuku by themselves whenever they're present at school. They only ever do so whenever Kacchan eggs them on in person.

Brainless pigs.

But, negative thoughts aside, today turns out to be an alright day.

Izuku really hopes though, that by the end of the week, he'll be able to hang out with Shoto again at some point, though.

A boy can hope. Right?

------------------------------------------------------------

When school ends for the day, Izuku finds himself thinking back to his future career as he walks onward home. It's a topic he wanted to avoid for at least another couple days, but, oh well. What can he do.

As he thinks over potential career options, he finds that he still wants to be a Hero, in spite of it all.

The realization makes him feel despondent. He shakes his head.

We've been over this, Izuku. The impossible can't happen. It just can't.

Think rationally.

He should ask for advice from someone, regarding all of this. Yes. That seems like a good idea.

Advice. Ideally, from a friend.

Hey, Shoto-san. So, have you got any ideas what type of career I should pursue? Izuku types on his phone and sends to Shoto quickly without thinking it through.
