—/According to Plato, a 'philosopher king' is a ruler who possesses both a love of wisdom, as well as intelligence, reliability, and a willingness to live a simple life. Such are the rulers of his utopian city Kallipolis. For such a community to ever come into being, Plato said "philosophers [must] become kings...or those now called kings [must]...genuinely and adequately philosophize"./—

In an ideal world, Izuku starts to cry shortly after they're done having their conversation about Plato and his Allegory of the Cave.
Izuku doesn't know what he did to deserve meeting a person like Shoto. He truly doesn't.
In an ideal world, Shoto scoots closer to Izuku on his bed as he's crying and gently caresses the green-haired boy's cheek with his right hand.
Like a true philosopher king, Izuku thinks to himself as he trembles. He shuts his eyes.
In an ideal world, Shoto says the words, "Midoriya. Do you want me to kiss you?"
Izuku's eyes shoot open.
He flushes.
"I—I mean..."
Izuku's lips part slightly. "Yeah."
And in an ideal world, Izuku is given a piece of heaven when Shoto responds faithfully.
------------------------------------------------------------
Shoto's lips are graceful. Delicate.
Divine.
They have Izuku craving more.
Shyly, Izuku grips the front of Shoto's shirt to deepen the kiss.
Time loses its meaning. Not that it ever really had meaning.
At the end of the day, it's just a metaphor for something else. Like anything in life is.
"Shoto-san..." Izuku murmurs between their kiss. He loves how Shoto's name sounds when he says it.
He loves Shoto so much.
------------------------------------------------------------
When Shoto finally pulls away, he asks softly, "How was it?"
Izuku's eyes shimmer with gratitude.
"It was perfect," he whispers, "Thank you, Shoto-san."
------------------------------------------------------------
In an ideal world, Shoto ends up deciding to spend the night at Izuku's home, and the two boys decide to go to sleep shortly after their kiss.
And in an ideal world, by about eleven PM, the two boys settle into their beds peacefully; Shoto in the living room, and Izuku in his own bedroom.
Ideally, it would have been better if they could sleep together in the same bed, but... Wait. Why aren't we sleeping in the same bed again?! Izuku thinks to himself in annoyance as he lies in his bed alone.
Like, seriously?
Oh well. Everything will come in its own time, eventually.
Go beyond plus ultra. Izuku thinks to himself wistfully before he succumbs to sleep.
------------------------------------------------------------
Izuku feels dizzy when he wakes up the next morning. Not because he slept terribly—far from it—but because the lines between reality and fiction have never felt so... blurred.
