Chapter 37

"Are you mad at me?" Dee asked upon seeing me.

Umiling ako saka siya hinalikan sa labi. "No, baby..." I replied.

"Then why does it feels like you're avoiding me?"

"I am not."

"No, you really are. Is this because of our family? I thought we're going to fight these together?"

Niyakap ko siya. "No... I'm just tired... I just want some air to breathe."

"Baby..."

"Hmm?" sagot ko saka sumiksik pa sa katawan niya. I really missed this guy, I miss his scent and all.

"Is there something wrong?"

"Wala..."

"You're not answering my calls."

Kumalas ako. "I'm sorry... feeling ko kasi malaki 'yung kasalanan ng pamilya ko sa pamilya mo."

"Tsk. Don't say that," he replied as he tucked my hair at the back of my ear. He cupped my face and kissed me on my lips. "Walang may kasalanan sa mga nangyari rito, okay?"

Kinunotan ko siya ng noo. "I wanna blame your Dad."

"Me too... but yea, he already explained it to me. He asked your Mom for a dinner, he wanted to talk about Chester since alam niyang buhay 'yung anak nila. Unfortunately, my mom came and—you know."

"But you said to me that your dad's a complete ass, dating other girls because he couldn't forget about my mom? Na wala siyang pakielam sa mararamdaman ng Mommy mo?" I said.

"Yes... but don't worry about that. It's on my family."

"But your problem is also my problem too," malungkot na tugon ko.

He kissed my forehead. "I know but I just don't want you to think about it anymore. Masyado ka nang maraming iniisip. How about setting a date with Chester? Tayong tatlo?"

My lips parted. "Talaga ba?!"

Ngumiti siya saka tumango.

"Okay na sa'yo?"

He shrugged. "Like what I've just said, I won't be surprised if ever I learnt that I have a brother from Dad's other woman."

"But Chester's a different case. He's older than us."

"I know, I know. That's why we need to accept it. He's not a mistake. Ang mali ay ang arrange marriage," he said.

I chuckled. "E, kung walang arrange marriage, edi sana wala ring Victoria and Deandrew na maipapanganak!"

He laughed and pinched my cheeks. "Siraulo."

"By the way, bakit nga ba si Caden pa 'yung pinapasok mo sa kwarto ko?" takang tanong ko. Nakaka-gulat naman kasi. Hindi pa nga nakaka-pasok do'n si Dee tapos nauna na si Caden. Mabuti na nga lang at hindi ako makalat na tao.

"As if I'll climb the window?"

I pouted. "So, you're not willing, huh?" I kid and punched him on his stomach. Mahina lang naman.

"'Yan ba natutunan mo kay Chester?" tanong niya habang naka-hawak pa sa tiyan niya.

Natawa ako. "Ang arte mo. Ang hina-hina lang naman 'yun."

"Kahit na. I was shocked. I didn't expect you to do that."

"Oo na. Sorry na. Ano nang gusto mong gawin ko?" I said and crossed my arms. Napaka-arte talaga ng boyfriend ko. Paano pa kung si Demi sumuntok sa kanya baka dudugo pati bunganga niya.
