As they came closer, Sang could make out titbits of their conversation - they were still discussing the whole 'JH-15' synthetic drug thing. Wanting to get their dirty little hands on the new drug no doubt, Sang thought. Gabriel was the first to spot her sitting awkwardly on the pavement and rushed right to her. The other guys watched with curiosity as Gabriel approached her, giving one another hesitant and guarded glances, obviously wondering what Gabriel was doing rushing over to a strange girl just sitting on the pavement like that.
"Oh my god it's you! Hey, are you okay?" Sang looked up at Gabriel, biting her lip her eyebrows drawn together in pain. His frowned as his gaze trailed over her body to her ankle and the blood on her skin, concern shone in his bright blue eyes.
"Y-yeah I'm fine." She whimpered.
"Shit, you're hurt. Doc, come check her out, her ankle is bleeding like crazy!" Gabriel yelled and beckoned over whom Sang identified as Sean Green. Sang remembered from reading his profile that he was adopted, he was practically raised in a hospital and became a doctor in his late teens. He rushed over immediately and took a hold of Sang's ankle, gently turning it over to examine the bleeding area. His winced slightly as he saw the cut and deftly pulled out some tissues from his blazer pocket, pushing them onto her wound to stop the blood. This caused Sang to cry out and she realised she now had everyone's undivided attention as nine pairs of eyes stared right at her.
"I'm sorry Miss, but I need to put pressure on that ankle of yours to stop it from bleeding so much. You're lucky the cut isn't too deep though. You mind if I ask how you hurt yourself?" he asked, his kind eyes squinting at her startled expression.
"I-I must've tripped. I was looking for my friend you see, a-and I saw some strange men so I tried to r-run," her words caught in her throat as she tried to talk. "I guess I outran them, but I tripped over something and the next thing I know I'm on the ground in p-pain" she stuttered, her body shaking not just from her injury but also from Sean's proximity. He smelled good, she realised. Sean laid a hand on her arm, a touching gesture to help her loosen up and stop shaking.
"I assure you Miss, you're in capable hands now. I don't think we'll be able to do much out here in the street, however. Do you live nearby? We could drop you off if you want, or you could come to our-"
"Oh no, th-that's fine!" Sang cut him off quickly, "I don't live around here anyway... my car is parked just a few blocks over I'm pretty sure I can manage. Like you said, the cut wasn't that deep anyway." She attempted to get up, her face contorting in semi-fake pain as she put pressure on her bad ankle.
A sceptical snort sounded out from amongst the group of Academy guys. "Like shit you can manage. You can't even stand, how are you gonna walk to your car like that? Doc, lets just take her to our apartment and fix her up there," the gruff voice scowled. Sang looked up to meet the eyes of the guy who just rudely called her out on her ability to walk. He was one of the bigger guys - he was North, not Silas, who she realised was standing right next to North with an amused smile on his lips. They were both physically the biggest ones of their group and she saw that North was staring at her, calling her bluff.
"Mr. Taylor, I think that's for the lady here to decide, no? We didn't quite get your name, what did you say it was?" inquired Owen Blackbourne, using a deft finger to push his glasses up a touch.
"I didn't," said Sang, recognising she hadn't even told Gabriel, let alone the whole group, her name. "My n-name is Sang. Sang Sorenson." It was safe for her to use her real name as unlike others in TIBI, she had absolutely no legal or authorised documents to her name - she didn't even have a birth certificate. She was quite literally a ghost.
"Sang as in, I 'sang' a song?" questioned an amused voice, it came from the guy with long blonde hair. It was North's stepbrother, Luke Taylor. His eyes glinted with laughter as he smiled at her and her name.
