"Right, time to get started on this mess," Gabriel gestured to her hair and pulled out a wide toothed comb from his bag. Sang knew he was over exaggerating the state of her hair but she didn't complain as he skilfully untangled her blonde locks and brushed them out. This was the second time she was getting her hair done by Gabriel and she wondered why he hadn't pursued the art of hair dressing and styling. He could probably do it for the stars as he had such a knack for it. She could imagine people lining up to see the infamous Gabriel Coleman at work.
"Infamous Gabriel Coleman, huh?" questioned Gabriel, smirking and raising an eyebrow teasingly at her. Oh God, had she been thinking out loud? Her face flamed as she watched his shoulders shake with barely contained laughter. She couldn't believe she had said that out loud.
"Well Trouble, if you want to see me at work I definitely wouldn't make you line up, in fact you'd be the one people would want to watch." He toyed. She couldn't stop the blush from darkening on her cheeks as she realised how embarrassed she was. It was nothing major but she was surprised that she had admitted it out loud.
"Nah, I'm pretty sure they'd be there for your mastery. What are you going to do to my hair anyway? That hairstyle that you did back at your apartment was pretty sweet. I liked the different braiding styles."
"I was just thinking of a bun type thing, you know, to keep it off your shoulders, especially to get it out of the way of your wound and to stop it from getting tangled again."
"Oh, okay."
She lifted her head a touch as Gabriel got to work on creating the style with her hair and relished the feeling she got from it. It felt so good, that she found herself not wanting him to stop. His hands were skilful and deft as he did her hair, so unlike her own hands, which shook occasionally and made her styling attempts sloppy. She would have to pick up some tips from him so that she could do her own hair like that in the future. She could feel him adding in a couple of bobby pins and a hairband to fasten the hair into place before he smoothed it out with his fingers. He took a step back to admire his handiwork, his eyes narrowing as he tilted his head to the side. He looked so engrossed in analysing her hair that she noticed his tongue flick out as he concentrated. He looked so adorable that she felt herself biting back a smile. He seemed to decide that her hair looked well and tucked a stray strand behind her ear.
"God, your hair is so gorgeous. I could literally spend hours here just doing your hair. I wish Luke would give me free reign over his hair, but he's so stingy the only thing he lets me do is trim it," he pouted.
"I'm sure he would let you if you asked him nicely."
"Nicely my ass! He just ties it up all the time. It's such a shame. I'd grow mine out but I kinda just prefer it this length" he added, running a hand through his own brown hair, his blonde strands getting mixed in with the rest.
"I love your hair...I love the two strands at the front, it makes you look... unique." She said, noticing how he beamed at her compliment.
"Well, thank you. They don't call me the infamous Gabriel Coleman for nothing now, do they."
Sang laughed out loud. "You're right," she choked out, "They don't know what they're missing." Sang had come to cherish the relationship she had with Gabriel and liked him the most out of the group, with Victor being a close second. They were the ones who she had spent the most time with so it was only natural that she'd develop a deeper relationship with them, however she was sure that if she got to spend more time with the others she'd probably come to like them more too.
After Gabriel did her hair, they talked for another hour or so before Sang began to feel tired and needed to sleep again. She protested when Gabriel pointed out that he should let her get some rest claiming that she was fine. Gabriel could see through her demise and noticed that the meds were kicking in again so he said his farewells and parted with a small smile. He made sure to check that she was comfortable before he left, fluffing her pillow and setting the comforter around her body snugly. Sang thanked him and then watched him leave through droopy eyelids, nestling closer into her duvet and letting sleep overtake her.
