The way she saw it, she had two options. She could either pretend to still be asleep so that she has a chance to get her story straight... or she could escape. Her shoulder was stitched up and was healing nicely so she decided to go with the latter option. To some it may seem foolish, but Sang Sorenson was in no position to be interrogated by her enemies. She was in a very vulnerable state; not only was she injured, but she was currently in the very hospital of those who she was against. Sang formulated a plan. She decided that she would wait ten minutes or so before making a run for it. It was whilst she was trying to get up that she realised that she had no blouse. Looking around, she found a clean hospital gown on a chair close to her bed. It was probably for her to wear at a later date after her shoulder had healed some more. The gown was made of thin white fabric and wouldn't be very warm but would have to do for the time being. Lifting herself out of bed was a difficult endeavour, particularly since she'd been bedridden for days on end. As she got up, she stretched out her muscles, careful of her shoulder. Both her legs and arms were stiff from being immobile for so long and she took care to loosen up her limbs. She gently placed her bare feet on the ground when she realised another problem - she had no shoes! This was a disaster. Anyone could walk in right now and find her awake and start questioning her. She quickly reached over and put on the thin gown over her torso. Tying it at the back, she looked for anything useful in the room that she could take with her. There was nothing of any use around, apart from a bottle of water and a box of tissues. She was creeping towards the door when she noticed her shoes sitting in the far corner of the room. She breathed a sigh of relief and quickly put on her shoes. Slowly, she turned the handle of the door and it opened with a slight click. It was time to make her escape.
The first thing Sang noticed when she emerged from her room was fact that the hallway was empty. She breathed a sigh of relief as she peered to the left and wondered how to get out of this place. She had no idea where she was. She didn't know what floor she was on, or where the nearest exit was; in fact she had no idea how to get out of the building.
"Going somewhere?" whispered a distorted voice. Sang jumped at the sound of the person who had creeped up behind her, wincing as pain shot down her arm. Too afraid to turn around, she was stunned when the person grabbed her and spun her around to face them. Fear coursed through her. The unknown person wore all black, but the strangest thing was the fact that they wore a mask. The mask was a simple white, with slits cut out where the eyes would be. Sang staggered back, wanting to put as much space between herself and the strange man - if it was a man that is. It was hard to tell.
"Wh-what do you want from me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. The masked stranger chuckled deeply but it came across eerily through the voice distorter they were undoubtedly using.
"I don't want anything from you, Sang." They replied.
"How do you know my name?" asked Sang, outraged.
"I know a lot about you Sang Sorenson, or should I say, Agent Sorenson. Speaking of agents, I bet TIBI are worried about you." Sang narrowed her eyes. What was this person playing at? Her fear was replaced by anger as she realised this person was wasting her precious escaping time. She tapped her foot, annoyed.
"That's great. Really, thank you, but can we get this over with? I have somewhere to be."
"Somewhere to be, or somewhere to escape?" they challenged. Sang sighed. How could she get rid of this person?
"Somewhere to be," she said firmly. "So I guess I'll just be going-" the masked person grasped her arm before she could leave.
"Wait," they began, "just promise me you'll be careful. There's someone out there who's not who he says he is." Someone who's not who he says he is?
"Who are you talking about? Which guy-" she asked, intrigued.
"I gotta go. Catch you later. Nice gown by the way." They said, and with that they spun around and ran down the corridor before she had a chance to finish. What on earth had just happened?
